MAP Stage 2 LR 2.4L Build
On Mitsubishi cylinder walls, is very normal to see those ''fine scratches'' on it, (but doesn't means anything bad on any way, is normal and doesn't affect the performance), whatever I want to ask if you used a HD let's say 16.0MP of more camera with Macro Mode etc, right??? Cause if you did, then those camera along with the flash and the Macro mode, it will take an amazing zoomed picture almost like a microscope, so that's why you will got this picture with the impression of very deep scratches on the cylinder walls, but it's more than everything because the reflect of the flash brighness etc. make it looks so impressive, but I bet at the naked eye, doesn't seen too bad.
Although, when I opened my engine, my cylinder walls with more than 88,000 miles on it, looks with less ''fines scratches'' than yours; so I still will recommend to you, that you find better pistons rings, and better motor oil for sure; here is a picture of mine:

When I posted a reply, it takes to me some minutes to make some correction to it, don't quoted me so fast, because then the replied will remain with less info. Read my reply again, I know millions of 2.4L are out there, but I am talking about how many are being used for high performance built, and that are actually working, not blown, or at the garage floor getting rusted. I am not that idiot, so stop you making so much hate, I have freedom of posting, since my comments don't ofense anyone, but you only have to use ****** words; you just better ignore me then, because you are not forced to read my posts. Thanks a lot. God bless you man.

You have to realize that this forum is not harsh on new people unless they join the forum and immediately start spreading false information like the plague.
You've done nothing so far but claim that people shouldn't do cams, God knows what you were trying to prove in your thread about how you can't quote Fast and the Furious, etc.
My point is:
It would be one thing if you were on here trying to learn; we'd be glad to help you. However, you joined the forum posting asinine things that are completely wrong and arguing about them for days.
I'm not even one who knows a lot about this stuff, but it's extremely bothersome as you're putting all of this foolish information out there that, if new, you're not going to know what to believe and it complicates the hell out of decision making for people doing research.

^ You read the O.P. title to this thread, don't you??? Cause he titled it as: ''Why do 2.4L's have such random failures?'' I did not see that he is asking It's true or not that 2.4L's are good or bad etc. but what I read in his title is that he is just asking why, so he is assuming that the 2.4L's have such random failures like a FACT; so if we start from that premise, then if you want to blame someone, start by the O.P. title but not me.
I respect your opinions and replies, so I hope you also respects mine. If I am such wrong, then anyway no one will follow my ''wrong info'', but I am not the only person that you will find wrong, in every thread and posts, are people who believe and defend an idea, and are other people who goes against same idea; that's precisely why this is a called a FORUM, or do you forget the meaning of that word? or do you forget that you are at a freedom of speech place?

Well, men, that short vacation from my unit was much needed. I got my share of hookers and blow and jumped right back in on the grind.
Unfortunately, Josi, I'm back, and back meaner than ever. Me and my men will scold every last thing you say, so don't you think that for one second someone isn't lookin' over you ready to pounce like pissed off cheetah where ever you show up next.
'Matter of fact, you can bet your g** d** a** that I had to read your sarcastic little remark four times to understand what in the hail you were even tryin' to say, so you can go ahead and get the Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kino out of this here thread.
Let's get 'em, boys.
