Well, I finally have all the parts collected and the car is going down to Pure Tuning this week. More pictures and updates should start rolling in soon!

I got the O2 housing and downpipe back from Swain Tech a couple days ago:

I forgot to tell them NOT to coat the downpipe hangers. I KNOW it's going to be a PITA to get those rough coated hangers into and out of the rubber hanger bushings

I dropped the car off at Pure Tuning in Toledo, Ohio today. When I got there they had a blue WRX on the dyno and a nice BMW on the service lift getting a bit of work done. Also had some awesome project cars I could not take pics of

My old trailer:

Dyno bay and 2 service bays. I think they have 3 lifts total:

TTU National Champ and TTS 2nd Place cars hanging out:

My EVO getting ready to go under the knife:

Some of my engine components waiting for the big day. Winberg 94mm 8 counterweight crank, GSC S2 MIVEC cams, GSC beehive valvesprings:

Some shots of Pure Tuning's showroom and display cases. They cater to a WIDE array of cars, from EVOs and STIs to BMWs, Porches and Audis:

The Wall of Fame:

Aaron's GTA 1st place trophy:

Yep, sure is. They have done several installs with them but Pure Tuning, being a 3 man crew is so slammed at the shop turning out customer cars they don't really have a web presence. The BW turbos have been their preference in aftermarket turbos for years. I believe they also work with Bullseye Power who does BW units. I know that is quite a difference from most EVO shops that push Garrett and Precision units. . .

The EFR is next on my list if I ever outgrow the stock mount setup capabilities with my upcoming CBRD BB BBK-B. I don't see that happening any time soon, though! I'd much rather have a 2600# car with 500whp than a 3100# car with 700whp!!

IDK that titanium Aspec manifold would be extremely light coupled with a BB stock frame turbo. I just need a titanium turbine wheel in a stock frame turbo...

You still have that Ti manifold? I'm surprised you didn't build a new custom titanium unit for your big build. You're not done yet - there's still time!

I didn't buy it from you... wanted to, but alas...was broke.

I think my next step is a 321 16 gage manifold. I'm just looking at how much weight I'm adding to run a Titanium turbine wheel. I'm figuring out ways to make it lighter. I called Keith at Pure-Tuning today about the EFR. we'll see if he'll part ways with it.

Did they have a partnership with DPR camshafts? Make cams for subarus? My friend has a set of those cams for his STi we haven't run yet.

Looks good I like the swaintech coating.

Ahh, I couldn't remember who I sold it to but I saw an old PM where we were discussing it.

Not sure on the DPR thing. They may have shared the same building years ago? Dunno.

I love the Swain coatings. Unfortunately the good looks don't last long on the exhaust manifold. O2 housing and downpipe stay real nice though

Well the 4G64 block is still at Lesco having the machine work done. Hopefully it will be back soon. In the mean time, here are some pics of my latest acquisistion - a sub-5# lithium battery to replace my heavy PC680:

Shorai = 540CCA
PC680 = 220CCA

I found the Shorai for about $280 - just over double the price of a PC680.

^^ me too!

The one thing I DIDN'T LIKE... is that it's not exactly the same size as the PC680. Pisses me off actually.
