EVOlutionary's LR2.2L MIVEC Build - Titanium Inside :)
Spring for the Ti rods. I've never had the pleasure of hearing first hand how they are! very cool!
Making some good progress on thinning the harnesses. I got about 5-10# of wiring out already. I do need some help though. I forgot where a plug goes and what attaches to it. If someone with a 9 can help me out I'd appreciate it.
It is in the drivers footwell area. It comes in from the front left fender area.

Mine has only 3 wires attached, but on other cars it probably has more.

I think it may attach to one of these tabs??

I need to know what plug attaches to it and where that plug goes? For the life of me I can't figure it out. Maybe I already removed the other end and just forgot about it?

Also, if anyone can link me to the wiring schematics for an LHD EVO 9 it would be greatly appreciated. All I have so far is for a RHD Evo 7/8 and some of the plugs/wiring are not the same. Thanks!!
That's not the mating connector in the upper left of the same picture? Kind of looks like it but it seems like the stock harness that went down the left side of the car had 2 connectors. I thought one went into the fusebox under the dash and the second goes into that connector. Possibly stuff for the rear doors (windows, locks, etc.).
Wish I could help out more, but I've eliminated that whole section of the harness by putting the main fuse box right next to the secodnary one. Only wires I have going into the fenderwell are the headlights, horn, and ABS wheel speed.

Unfortunately I never hit Andy up for a copy of it. If Eric can't hook me up with a copy then I'll check with Andy to see if he still has a DVD copy. I didn't realize the electrical manual was part of the FSM, but now I see that it is.
So, you guys who have moved or removed your fuse boxes, did you actually cut and lengthen parts of the harness to be able to put it where you want it? From what I've read I should be able to cut/splice/lengthen/shorten the harness as needed except for wires going directly to sensors? Did you have any electrical gremlins that popped up after you moved the fuse box?
If you aren't really comfortable with wiring, you might not want to venture down this road.
Seems like somebody else (Evodan maybe?) spent a ton of time on rewiring only to end up buying a new harness and leaving it stock.
I've got probably 100+ hours into my harness after moving the fuse box and replacing 80% of the wire with TEFZEL wire and eliminating/simplifying everything I could. Consider I have ~10 years of electronics experience and it still took me forever. I've since decided to simply start fresh at this point as I will be eliminating the door locks, windows, mirrors, heater and stock instrument cluster.

No problem. I already have about 15-20 hours into it. I have to learn some time, right!
If I screw it up to badly then I'll just pay somone to fix it or buy a complete new harness.
I have eliminated everything in the car except headlights, taillights, engine harness, acd and fuel system wiring, so there's not THAT much left

Well, I've been doing more stripping parts off the car. The plan now is to have the full shell dipped, stripped, then e-coated with an epoxy primer, then off to the chassis shop for the cage install, then to Pure Tuning for the heart transplant. If it all comes together it will be a totally new build, new powerplant, new aero, new suspension. . . going to be a lot of work!!

Getting sparse in there. Still more to go!
