What did you use for a steering rack? The stock Mirage one must be terribly slow.

Unfortunately I am still using the stock Mirage one. I'm working on modifying an Evo 8 rack and think I can make it work but I dont know for sure yet. The LHD Evo 4-6 racks are extremely rare and expensive @ ~$2k, whereas the Evo 8-9 rack can be had for ~$200.

As a previous Mirage owner, I saw a couple of these conversions documented...But this is a work of art! Nicely done, no detail left out. Please post a vid if you can, would love to see it in action!

awesome to see one of these projects get finished.. why did you decided to keep it LHD when you had the parts for RHD?

RHD just isnt practical here in the states. I think it would get old real quick.

dont know about that. been driving the evo 1 for ten years here and love it. I also prefer the feel of a standard rack to the quick steer. the standard rack has better resolution and is far safer at high speeds.

nice on that rear conversion. did that to my evo 4. shaved 49 pounds from the factory setup.
