If you don't mind me asking, around what did this cost, atleast once it becomes the finished product. How many hours have you put into it?

A good deal more than just buying an evo 8/9. As far as hours, I couldnt even begin to count. It has been a lot of evenings and weekends over the last couple of years.

Working on some interior clean up and removal of the factory sound deadening.



After round one


Pile of factory sound deadening removed mostly with the dry ice method.


Inside getting a good scrub down


First coat of primer


My rear cut will be here on Tuesday so stay tuned for more updates.

Rear cut has arrived.


Drive shaft mounts.

Drilled out


Shock towers


Floor pan nearly ready




Floor pan swap time!










Out with the old





Mirage pan


Evo pan being cleaned up




Still needs some more work and then will get a few coats of rust bullet before being welded in.

Wow! You did a great job cleaning up the floor. How did you like that terrible tar that was on it? I advised the last owner not to get that on his car again....
