I also have these new rear lower arms from Racefab too. lighter thant stock, more adjustable and jointed on both ends

I have modifed stock ones already but have to remove them to adjust, these ones can be adjusted on the car.

compared to my existing ones

This is with a new late bearing in place, hubs are off getting some love

And finally the ecu tray is now complete, it sits just in front of the shifter and over the cables, nice and firm and easy for the loom to run where it needs too.

Its an alloy tray with foam lining it, there will be o-rings/bands over the top from the hooks to stop the ecu jumping out.

Most of the interior bits are now done so its almost time to strip it all out and paint it properly inside

Got my DMS back finally, they have been checked over and shortened 60mm, I
refitted the fronts with the SWIFT springs, rears also, spring rates at this stage are purely guess work until we can test the car.

Also started to play with my racefab rear lower arms and trailing arms, yum.....

reassembly ,

rear arms

mostly comleted, I now just need the rear hubs back and to install the bearings and the rear is done,

then realign obviously

still haging out to get the wiring loom for the ecu done

More things on the go

Todays job was to start another project before half of the others are completed

The original power steering pump and all bracketry has been removed to allow room for the new oil cooler location and to lower the weight down further in the front of the car.
For something I had already trimmed heavily it is still quite heavy.

Also all of the low pressure hoses will also be changed to rubber and the steel lines removed.

A new alloy bodied power steering pump will be mounted down on the original alternator location at the front lower part of the engine.
We had to drill out the hole to allow a 10mm bolt to go through. Just need to fiddle about with the pullies now to get that right

bracket removed, (this is part of the jaysracing relocation kit)

new pump just sitting in the rough location, should be workable

also the coil mounts are coming along too, there has also been a bit of progress/brain storming on a few other little jobs

The rear wing stands have also been getting a little bit of attention, front edges radiused and the trailing edges tapered ........I think Im sick lol.
They are 6mm plate that I had laser cut, They still need more of a clean up but getting there.

Leads are installed, I just need to tidy up the path they run and secure them a bit better, custom made 8.5mm Magnacores

I have also had the engine loom measured up and it is now under way

A few more little jobs ticked off.

I made up the mounting plates for the deutsche connectors to run through the firewall, another revision of the power steering pump mount and the wing end plates are done...

we have now gone back to the original pump but in the same position

Wing plates made for me by raceglass

A long weekend here so finally some time available so I could to start fitting up the bonnet vents

Trying to keep them even was a bit of a challenge but it came up ok in the end

fitted back on.

They should hopefully extract plenty of air/heat and also the passenger side one will be the vent for the oil cooler

A bit more progress on the car too.

Hubs and rear bearings back from the machinists and now half reinstalled. The rear bearing normally bolts in from the back on a later evo but on mine they have been modified to bolt through the front.

All back together with the ARP studs

Some mods were also required on the front caliper bracket as the pad hung over the edge of the rotor by a couple of mm, they are now installed and lock wired in for the last time.

the dash moulding process has also begun

It will be done in carbon with the most matte finish possible

And finally the rear lower control arms are now also fitted up after the spacers for the bottom of the strut had been machined down a touch
