Keep up then incredible work.
the motor ran amazingly before i took it apart. i wanted to freshen it up some and change CR. i dropped the head off expecting a good bill of health and only looking to have it cleaned and some port work done on the oil return holes. i was told the guides were shot. so i ordered new ones. then i was told 8 exhaust and 2 intake valves were bent. not enough that the eye could see but when put in the machine he said he noticed it. they are a local shop and have good feedback so i figured it is not rocket science to clean up a head. i am second guessing this choice but i guess at this point it is what it is so we will see what happens.

well here it is. PST one piece carbon fiber driveshaft. im going to do a complete review on this. weight, install, and beat the crap out of it on the street and track. lets see how it works out. more to come.

i ghetto scaled it. i am pretty sick so moving around sucks and i wasnt pulling out my good scale. so i weighed my self on the bathroom scale and then weighed my self holding the driveshaft. i got 16.8LBS. i will get a accurate number shortly but PST advertizes it at 17lbs

Looks beautiful, it's a shame it has to go underneath the car.

i just installed my carbon driveshaft as well. incredibly lighter

is that a full 1 piece DS then? i have a torqline one so it makes the 2 rear sections into 1 piece. i wonder how much of a difference it is between the 2.

look guys. i dont mind you looking at my big black shaft. but when you all come over to pet it we need to do this while my fiance is not home. she may wonder why 5 guys including my self are under my car making odd sounds.

as for weight like i said i ghetto scaled it and it was 16.8LBS. today i will scale it on the good scale. this is 11lbs lighter then my 2 piece driveshaft

yes this is a complete 1 piece driveshaft.

haha, I'm sure we could fit 5 guys under there at once. And honestly, I'm pretty sure Lisa would be fine with it...

Awesome DS, man. I didn't know one this light even existed for the CT9A. Are there drawbacks to a 1 piece?

That's almost 20 lbs worth of saving over the stock unit isn't it?...let us know how it works out.

When the geometry of a rotating shaft is modified, it can run into a risk of what's called "shaft whirling".... this behavior is basically caused by its center of mass rotating "away from the center line"...etc
They are using a single long piece instead of the stock design which is supported in multiple places (for better control), however, it is made out of carbon fiber so the deflection and mass properties had changed as well and whirling may be avoided at least for his setup (gearing, rev limit...etc)

closer to 25/26lbs lighter then a STOCK driveshaft.

PST claims to have similar sized shafts on other cars that have documented over 180mph without vibrations or issues. each driveshaft is specifically made per order per that persons setup, hp, trq, speed, ETC. these are not a in stock type idem. 100% made per order as they see fit. i am confident it will work and in the event it does not work i have the ability to send it back and i will slap on a DSS 2 piece carbon.

my car also has a solid front cross member, avid 80D engine/trans mounts, and i also have the light weight rear diff brackets. so engine movement is nearly nothing. on the dyno when the car hits full TRQ ''over 650'' i do not see the engine move. that does not mean it does not move but its a good indication on how things are doing. i DO NOT recommend this 1 piece shaft on anything OEM mounted.
