Learned the angle thing the hard way on my first valve cover.. I thought using a drill press was going to be the smart thing to do. It gets damn tight near the cam gear side. Glad it worked out for you.

I was going to weld my VC today and ran out of Argon. I'll fix mine over the weekend.
So it is possible to weld one of these magnesium ones? I've got two now that are collecting dust because I heard other wise. One with a gapping hole as mentioned above and one cracked around the front right bolt.

EDIT crap i fell asleep last night while typing this. sorry. anyways here you go.

ok so i just got home from one of my best friends weddings tonight and put a little time in on the car. i got the valve cover on and bolted down and i got the fuel lines all connected up. tomorrow i would like to complete the catch can lines and install the twin 450 pumps double pumper.

also i used 3 10AN press in fittings on my valve cover. i had holes drilled exactly to side proper size of the fitting and pressed them in. IMO this came out mega clean looking with the shaved valve cover here are some pics.

thank yo very much guys.

i didn't get as far as i had hopped today. i had to build someone a fuel pump hanger and they came to pick it up and my fiance made dinner plans to go out.

anyways i got the catch can lines completed, installed my double pumper, ran the lines for it and basically only have to wire up the 2 wires for the second pump. here are some pics.

here is the completed dual Walbro E85 450 double pumper

sorry for the poor pics. i used my cell phone because i am just to lazy to get the camera.

your setup looks very nice man...very clean!
Are those -10 fittings on the VC? are they press fitted or threaded onto the VC? ...sry if this was mentioned already!

Yes they are pressed in to the valve cover.

so with all these ID injector problems i keep seeing i decided to send mine back to ID for checking. the car sat 13 months now and from what i am told my injectors might be shot or stuck. anyway for the 60.00 bucks it cost i would rather know for sure they will flow properly then not enough. so the start up date is on delay............................................. ....................................... again.

Really nice work on the valve cover and catch cans. My cover is going in for powder this week and I'll be doing the baffle work.

As always, nice job. Very clean.

Car is looking good.
Do all injectors start to go bad if they have not been used in a long time, or is this just id Issue?

It can happen to any injector that isn't properly cleaned & lubed before storing after being ran on both pump gas or e85...

Exactly. And even though I was stupid and did not store them properly I would rather spend the 80 bucks to have them checked then to trash my engine after I rebuild it this winter. Its not like I don't have time to do it haha. It gives me more mod time anyways. God help me

ok so this is kinda depressing me. i had the DP off because we had to add a 2 inch spacer onto it. basically when Geoff made the new manifold it set the turbo forward a little bit which he told me would happen. to my luck the DP fit actually better then it fit before. but when i connected the turbo back on to it it also pushed that forward 2 inchs. i was not so lucky here and had to do a simple fix.

anyways the point to this post is as my buddy was helping me out he said to me. yo dan. you run this DP on that turbo? i replied with yes. he said have you ever looked at the ID of the V-Band flange on the turbine housing and the ID on the V-Band flange on your DP? i said no why? well we pulled out the mic and measured both ID's. the turbine is 3.25 inches and my DP was 2.75 inchs. holey crap i can not believe this has been like this for this long. IMO and his that is a huge restriction. well anyways i tried to port the DP flange as much as possible. i got it just a smudge past 3 inch. we think the DP's V-Band flange is not a PTE part. he says the PTE V-Band will be the same size.

so we are going to build a new DP. which i wanted to do anyways but now it is a must. MP-Fab will be supplying me with the material. we are going to go with 321 18 gauge. i want this DP light without making my pocket even lighter. so 321 is within my budget. i would love to have him build the darn thing for me but he is in AL and i am in NJ and i want this DP as tucked up under the car as i can get it. my old DP is 3.5 inch 304SS. i am not sure on the wall thickness. i would guess either 14 or 16 gauge. the new DP will also be 3.5 inch.

anyways that it all for now. sorry for the petty update and the rant.

PTE's flange sizes are really odd compared to other brands, and if you want to buy a "matching" one your going to pay out the ***!
