thanks.

update.

today i got another fitting for the hanger and set it all up. so here it is complete ''up top''

here is my old return line. it was a -6 to a double ended barb fitting to -4 so it would slip on the stock return fitting on the hanger

and here is the new full -6 return line. i just need to tighten up the fittings on the line.

i picked up a few feet of -10 braided hose today for the catch cans. like i said i should have the valve cover Friday.

maybe tomorrow i will put the hanger all back together and get it installed. ill get some pics up of that when i do.

ok so i am requesting your guys help. i picked up my valve cover today ''yes a day early'' and it came out great. check it out. EVO 8 valve cover shaved and powder coated satin black. has 3 holes for the 10AN fittings i will be using.

here is where i need your help. after drilling the holes i needed for the 10AN fittings there is a bunch of shavings inside the valve cover. i then sent it out for powder coat and the guy said most of the stuff inside will be washed out. anyways there is still quite a bit inside. as you can see in the pics the valve cover is kinda wet or has smudge marks on it. no worries here it is fine because i tried to wash it with soapy water but it is not working out to well.

i know some guys have removed the baffles to clean them out and that is what i want to do. i need some help on how you guys removed the baffle piece. spot weld drill bit? grinder or what??? as for drilling and tapping the holes what size bit and tap do you recommend? anyone who has done this i would appreciate the help.

on a side note for my AN fittings i got my self a nice set of AN wrenches and AN vise clamps for the bench vise. cant wait to get cracking on this.

OK R/T's thread was the perfect tip. Here is what I got so far. Tomorrow I will try to drill and rap it. I have a pretty busy weekend so I am not sure what I can get done

talk about nerve racking. i would not have minded so much if it was before powder coat but i def did not want to scratch this cover up. anyways so far everything has come out perfect.

i have to give a huge thanks to R/TErnie and especially PURE DRIVE PERFORMANCE. R/T's pics were a huge help and i got a PM from PURE DRIVE warning me about how to drill these valve covers. not only did he save me from buying a new valve cover but he saved me from one hell of a disaster. he PM'ed me warning me not to drill straight into the spots i needed to drill and tap. you MUST drill most of the holes on a slight angle. he mentioned that he drilled straight and it went right threw the side of the valve cover. it is hard to describe but anyone looking to do this will notice what is going on when they get started. so for this i am most thankful for. thank you very much.

i was not sure how long of a bolt to use so i used some pretty long ones as you can see. i figured the more thread the less likely it will back out with the red lock tight.

after drilling, tapping, filling the holes with RED lock tight , putting RED lock tight on the threads of the bolts and running them in tightly. here is the completed job.

i am going to let it dry over night and tomorrow i will get it installed.

again thanks to the guy who led me to R/T's thread, R/T for the pics, and Pure Drive for the life saving time. i def would have messed that up.

That looks really good! I'm glad to help in some small way.

I was going to weld my VC today and ran out of Argon. I'll fix mine over the weekend.
