I know you said you do not want to cut up the car but isn't this just as painful to do?

no. i get what you are saying but IMO i wouldnt consider this cutting. cutting IMO is a Chromo front end, removing all the frame work in the trunk, cutting the doors apart ETC. that is the stuff i will not do. i do not think what i am doing is ruining the car. not since i am painting it and making it look better. what is good about the spot weld drill bit is if you do it right you can re weld the bracket you removed if you need to.

modded another bracket. shifter base bracket. before evodan 1.90LBS.

after evodan touched it 1.40LBS. weight lose .50LBS.

i bet i can get more out of it but this is fine. i do not have time to go to crazy. i relocated a clip hole, trimmed off what i 100% do not need and then drilled some holes. i might repaint it yellow with the paint i got for practice or i might send it out to be powder coated black. i have 4 other brackets going out for powder coat next week so i might just add this to it. i used a scotch brite to sand it real quick. nothing special.

You're gonna make me do this now...god damn it...

Eh that's too much work. I'll drop the cheddar on fancy stuff like a carbon fiber roof and dry carbon hood and trunk when I win the lottery...

Beer pressure?

I would do more free weight reduction if I wasn't 8 hours from my car. Having no garage here in VA beach blows...

It took me about 30 min to do. Like I said I can get more off but I am happy with how it is. It all adds up. Or maybe I really just fell off the deep end.

Deal! There is a TON of weight to remove. My car still has the rear crash beam (waiting on jdm rear), stock driveshaft, rotors, and wheels. Not to mention I haven't removed the majority of what's in the weight reduction thread. It's around 2910 at the moment, I'd like to see 2800 before the shootout.
