I don't want manual brakes. If anything, I'll put abs back in down the road, and put it behind the passenger seat or something. I may end up tracking the car later down the road, I'm not sure yet.

Yeah you guys are right, I'm going to run the gauges separately. It will save me a lot of time if I decide I want to ditch the AEMs and go with something else.

So I just put in an order at Jegs for the rest of the brake lines for the engine bay, they should be here tomorrow or Friday. I just need a flaring tool and I can have them done this weekend. I haven't been working too much on this as all of my free time has gone into R&D on my Evo X, here's a picture of a flange I had CNC machined for my intake.

It's a true 3" intake that doesn't neck down at the stock turbo elbow. I'll have the elbow welded to a vband so to take apart my intake I'll just have to remove the vband clamp.

More updates on the 8 coming this weekend!

So I haven't been too motivated this week to work on the car, by the time that I get any free time it's already 10pm and I'm tired. Between my final year in school, my job and the fab work I do on the side, I keep myself really busy. Anyway, the brake fittings came in today, so I got the bulkhead fittings temporarily installed so I can finish running the lines. I still have to find a 37% flare tool, nobody around here seems to have one. Drivers side Passenger side - this one took some precise placement so that the wiper motor won't interfere with the fitting. I love this placement a lot more than the previous routing. I'll have to cut and re bend the existing line you see here. I also started a customers catch can, this will be going into a Dsport feature car so that's pretty cool. I might end up using the same one for my car, I'm not sure yet.

So this weekend was dedicated to putting tile floor in the master bathroom of my house, as well as ripping all of the carpet in the entire house. This means basically moving all of the things into one side of the house so they can carpet half of the house. Move all of the things back to the newly carpeted side and get carpet down on the remainder of the house. Then I gotta put all of things back where they belong.

I'm also buying a new bedroom set because the wife hates the current digs, as well as a new sectional couch for the living room. Needless to say all of the monies and all of my free time has been going back into the house.

I got the 37 degree flare tool in, and they said it would be strong enough to flare stainless brake lines. It wasn't. It broke on the first line I tried to flare. So I'm just going to bend them and take them to a friends to have him flare them.

Thanks guys,

Haven't had any free time to work on this thing at all... Between finishing up this semester at school and filling all of the holiday sale orders, I have no free time left over. I want to order some weld els here soon, maybe that will motivate me to finish her up faster.
