4G64 2.1L build!

Well Im thinking it’s a bit late for starting a build thread, but fu*k it ill do it anyway!

I guess ill start with posting some pics of how the car looked when i first got it and over the past couple of years, i really dont have many pictures of it over the past couple of years, but ill post what i gots!

this is my 03 evo 8 that I bought from a buddy a little over two years ago. this is how it looked when i got

I quickly got rid of those konig wheels and bought some rota boost 2's (18x9.5 +22) its a damn sexy wheel in my opinion! also decided to repaint the horribly fading and chipping calipers and valve cover

---Sorry about the random sized pictures, i have to scavange these pictures from facebook, my phone, email, and cardomain in order to post most of these pictures haha

Towards the end of 2013 i bought a 4g64 block from a guy off of evolutionm and i purchased an evo 8 head from a buddy of mine for $150. Shortly after getting the block i started buying bottom end parts for my 2.1L build

Wiesco 10.5:1 87mm pistons
Manley turbo tuff rods 156mm
manley forged crack 88mm
standard sized ACL bearings
ARP mains studs
oem thrust warsher and balance shaft delete kit

I got everything sometime in November 2013 and shipped it all over to Buddy Rice precision engine in OKC for the machine work

shortly after i received my block i placed an order with Sheepey Built for a top mount 6766 v-band kit!
after about 5 or 6 weeks of waiting i finally received it in the mail..
The hot parts kit included the top mount v-band manifold, two peice v-band downpipe, and the dump tube. i also ordered a LICP and 44mm turbosmart wastegate to go with it
got to say they did a damn good job on it and i cant wait to put it on!

This is the picture Sheepey texted me of the test fitment! According to who ever i've been messaging at sheepey built this is the only top mount kit that they have made for any evo so far!

Im going to go ahead an post up My buddy Kyle Porter's 2014 STI that he bought sometime in December of 2013!
Before there were even 50 miles on this STI he decided to install a cobb access port, a full 3in TBE, a cobb intake, a short shifter, and a weighted shiftknob. Because of this about a month later at 1922 miles, it started knocking like a motherf*cker! It sounded like a damn construction site under his hood..
His "warranty" got denied by subaru, so he decied to build it, and by build it i mean a full ETS turbo kit with a 6466, $13500 block and head from TPG tuning, and much more.

We recently pull the motor out along with the front end and everything in the bay in order to paint the engine bay this badass lambo green with a gold pearl!

The paint came out amazing for my first engine bay! it was also my first tri-color paint job, tri color is a base, then pearl, then clear coat. We even decided to re do his factory brembos the same green

I've always hated chrome housing headlights, so i convinced Kyle to pull apart his headlights and repaint the housings rattle can black! That also came out amazing!

Here are a couple pictures of how my Evo looks today! now that i look at it, it is way different from my old pictures haha
i recently picked up a flawless ebay do-luck replica lip, and a black hood and truck that i got from a buddy of mine for re doing his brembos and shaving his valve cover on his evo
I also bought an almost new old school AMS 4in Race intercooler and Greddy TI vband cat back from the same buy that gave me the hood and trunk

thanks a lot! yeah Kyle was quoted a woping $13000 on the motor and head build for the STI. And $5000 of it is JUST machine work.. and i thought all those MEMEs of how expensive STIs were was just an exaggeration!
He is about to buy a full ETS rotated 6466 kit next month all powder coated black, so it should be here towards the middle of April

Well i just recieved my Ferrera 6000 series valves today! will be buying kiggly springs, ferrera locks, and valve seals here shortly then my head will be off to HeadGames! and yes i have an extra evo 8 head chilln in my garage next to my block lol

I am going thru a similar build, 2.1l 4g64 with my 4g63 head, any tips on what parts can be moved from the stock 2.0l to the 2.1l block? …. Things such as timing cover, oil pump….etc
Appreciate the feedback!
