My Evo 9 build

I wanted to make a build thread to show my almost completed build I have been working on. I bought my evo in august of 2014 when I traded in my 04 audi s4. I have always wanted an evo and when I found my 06 gg se I knew I had to have it.

That's almost how the car looked when I got it. It was stock with only a turbo back exhaust and injen intake and charge pipes. First I lowered the car on tein springs and painted the wheels bronze because the original finish was chipping and looked terrible.

I got new pads and rotors at some point and a few other things.

Original plan was to max out the stock turbo on e85 so I bought 3.5 inch intercooler, a fp cast turbo manifold, walbrol 255, and muse 02 dump. I installed most of these parts but never had the car tuned just ran on stock boost. Around January I decided I wanted more than what the stock turbo could do so I bought a friend of mines turbo that he was upgrading on his Honda. The turbo is a turbonetics 6165 billet wheel. My turbo on the right his new one on the left.
The manifold is a stm forward facing with a precision 46mm wastegate. For now the car is stock bottom end. As for the head I got gsc beehive springs titanium springs and s2 billet cams. Arp headstuds and a new evo 9 headgasket and timing belt finish off the motor. Next up were the intercooler pipes in wich I made myself along with the catch can you see in this picture. A friend of mine did the powdercoating for everything. I also made the downpipe wich isn't pictured.
The fuel injectors were upgraded from the 950 I bought for my original goal to f.i.c 1450cc and my 255 was replaced with a walbrol 450. And here is how the car sits now.
Currently the car is done just needs tuned. Tom at tscomptuned will be tuning it. I have paid just waiting for him to fit me in now!\

No not really. It was a fun car but it lacks the power and the driving experience you get with an evo. It was alot more comfortable ride though.

Yeah that has been the only downside I have been able to think of, other than that the want is real. Ha, been wanting one since I was a little kid.

The turbo was originally bought from go-autoworks.Com in a kit for a Honda civic.

The turbo is doing well still in great shape. Has around 3k miles on it at iver 500 whp. The clutch however decided it had enough and now slips in 4th gear.
