Just glancing at it, he said raw material cost would likely cost about what your price point is. Then he has to have the shock tower plates machined, and fab the rest. So, it's not realistic. Example- a 12x12x.062" sheet/plate from McMaster Carr is $340. And that's not even thick enough to use for the shock tower plates.

Regarding having one made, I think it would sell given the interest in this bar which is no longer made and the premium they fetch now as such. From my previous photos, the front and rear Ti bars together are 3lbs lighter than just the OEM front steel bar. So probably more a little more than 5lbs in weight savings.

A Cusco Ti popped up on here like a year ago but it was a scam. Sucks bc that thing is beautiful and also stupid light! I ended up buying a Carbing AL strut bar and was told it only weighed a couple lbs. Sadly once receiving it I realized that was a lie. My scale says the stock bar weighs in at 7.2# and the Carbing is 5.8# so the cost/# wasnt that impressive.

These are the guys to look at for Titanium tubing. Looks like 3al is pretty cheap in the thin wall 0.75". Like $2/ft but Im not sure what wall would be needed here. Plate on the other hand, that stuff seems very spendy. Maybe looking at different grades would help but so far I havent spent too much time to figure out whats needed.

AN 1/8" sheet sized to 6 top plates for 3 bars is $380 6AL-4V (Grade 5)...
Based on that alone, we're prob at $300 per bar just in materials and rough guess on having the top plates water jet cut. Not to mention the vertical pieces that need welded on. I'm not sure 1/8 for the top plate is even thick enough. Not familiar with Ti. But I see these easily over shooting a $600 price point.

Could also think about doing just the tubes in TI and maybe a bolted socked in Alum for the 3 chassis mount spots.

Should we move this elsewhere to not keep derailing Marc's thread? Lol

Have you guys checked out Ticon Industries? They seam to have much better pricing on titanium. I've contemplated making Ti strut bars but didn't think there would be enough of a demand to justify it..

Couple other little things I forgot to share. I cut out a piece of alum on the fenders which was otherwise preventing air egressing the front wheel wells. Also Austin, via Dallas had a gauge panel 3d printed for my double din. So gauges are next on the agenda. Also another pic of the Dogo just for fun.

Splitter is basically done. Need to make a few little tweaks but shes solid. Car is gonna take a long nap until i get out of this house and moved down to my new house (sad face). But im not giving up, will get her to some tracks and keep wrenching as time permits.
