good progress

 

Hey all. I’m in desperate need of some help and advice.
Motor has been running well however I have not been able to drive it since July due to needing to get smog done here in Cali I’m just scared about the cal id number thing that people have been getting referred over. I’m running teph v7 with no issues smogging since 2007. I had decided that I would throw the stock cat, egr, stuff throttle body, injectors and try to get it through smog the legit way. But then I was thinking, are they looking for the “stock/original” rom or the same one I used last year?
please if you live in Cali and have figured this out please lmk, I’m dying to get here back on the road

 

Or is there any pro tuners that know how to get around this issue?

Heard people just title and register the car in another state.

 

Ya'll california guys have it rough. I certainly wouldnt be having a modded car like the Evo there with those hassles unless it was purely a track car.

 

This. Street car would 100% be something that didn't need modded, or had CARB approved mods available. Camaro SS 1LE or ZL1, or Mustang/GT350.

 

It all depends on who you know and how much time/money you have, but generally true. We have it rough out here with the CARB, EPA, SMOG crap. There are some people who deserve to get caught though, like stance guys who scrape their exhausts on the ground.

 

Totally the same route Id go. Basically something I can play with suspension but not need to do anything with power really.
