Little bit of drama with the ohlins in the past few weeks. To cut it short I was quoted a figure, and after weeks of measuring and cad design for the billet mounts etc… the quote went up by $4200 ($2800usd). I wasn’t happy with spending much extra so I cancelled the whole job and sent the ohlins dampers back to ohlins.
Since then I’ve been in contact with KW Motorsport department over here in Aus and after chatting for a few weeks and them offering a little bit of sponsorship discount, I decided to go for some KW V4 Racing Competition shocks.
The only difference between the ones in the pic below and my ones are that I opted for a fixed piggyback reservoir on the rear shocks as apposed to a hose.

What happened to the Nitrons that you were running? Was there an issue with them? Maybe I missed that. Was curious what you thought about the Nitrons.
Ahh bummer. Solid piston dampers really are the bees knees for suspension. The only comparable alternative is KW V5 but they only makes those things for high end cars for people willing to spend stupid money.

To be honest there’s nothing wrong with the nitrons, the only benefit of the kw’s is they are an inverted from damper compared to the nitrons. Not sure why I changed tbh lol. Nitrons will be up for sale soon if anybody wants them.
Wow! Joined the forum to tell you how much I like your car, and that I am interested in the Nitron R3 Coilovers. I’m in Scottsdale, Arizona. Please PM me it won’t let me. Thanks!!

Sorry everyone I’ve been a bit busy the past few weeks.
I’ve been lacking in pictures I took with installing all the parts are the gearbox etc, but the extra parts I got were:
Evo X throttle body
Evo X DBW pedal kit
ORC 400 single plate unsprung clutch
ORC lightened flywheel
Turbosmart Raceport BOV
Torque Solutions Gearbox mount
Oem Mitsubishi throw out bearing
Oem Mitsubishi speed sensor
First thing I did was get the car on the hoist and remove the transmission
Once all the transmission was out, I did a bit of cleaning. Also with the standard throttle body being replaced by the evo x dbw one I got rid off all the recirculating and emissions crap from under the back of the inlet manifold, was alot of crap to be removed.
After removing all the shifter cables and shift base etc from the interior I was left with a hole where the gear over goes. So I cut out a flat piece of carbon to cover the oem surround, I think it tidies it up quite nicely.
