Its only about half a year since I first Turtlewaxed my headlights and I have to say you were correct. The headlights started yellowing again and this time I decided to take it in to have them professionally restored. The business claims a 5 year warranty on their work, so let's see how long these will last. And yes, there is a UV sealant that's applied this time. Its about 5 times the price of the Turtlewax stuff, but I am happy with the results.

My friend has a shop and does headlight restorations. Their final step is chemical guys jet seal. They claim it holds up a long time. I haven't heard of using that on headlights before so I have no idea how well it holds up.

Not to be mean, but please people stop wasting time and money on "sealing" and "polishing" headlights. You must remove the oxidation and clear coat them for real protection. Automotive 2k clear and forget about it.

Got a surprise when I took apart the spare rear diff to check the plate stack.

Previously somebody spent some big money on an upgrade.
It's been magnafluxed, shot peened, re shimmed and adjusted, bearings replaced, 12 plate stack, and sports a billet side cover.

Yeah made up for the two hours it took to get the upper dog bone mount bolt out.
Was installed the wrong direction, so you could only turn it about 1/8th of a turn at a time, and then it ran into part of something on the engine. Had to jack the motor up to clear the bolt head.

And those who've ventured between the engine and firewall know all about all the sharp items that live back there. My arms look like someone beat the doo doo out of them.

I even got yelled at for bleeding all over the car.
