Pic of alternative 02 fix by whtevo

Apparently you can get one of these brass fittings from hardware stores, for cases in which your antifoulers make the o2 hit the body.

Fix provided by whtevo

I asked him where he got the fitting and he cant remember. If I get one, I will post it.

WORKS exhaust CEL fix

Just did this mod over the weekend. Only driven it twice since then so I don’t have conclusive results yet. I used the shorter 42009 adapters due to space restriction – time will tell if that is good enough.

If you do this mod with the WORKS exhaust, be prepared to take a hammer to the underside. There is no room for the O2 sensor that will be extended by the adapters. The metal is soft though and as far as I can tell there is nothing that will be damaged on the inside. Just take it slow and work away enough room with the hammer to allow for up/down and sideways movements of the exhaust.

The hammer blows rubbed away the black anti-rust stuff, but I think you can get something to protect the metal against rust from Pep Boys.

The thread below has been posted already, but it's got good pictures of what to expect.

Final report: I made this mod on April 10. It's more than a month and over 3,000 miles since - zero CELs.

What is the #7 wire?
Is it the signal wire from the secondary 02 sensor?

So all it does is shut the light off?
You're still not gonna pass inspection with that. Who cares about the light.

Did this fix today and so far so good.

I rememeber before the light would go back on less then 10 miles or so after I reset the car.

Driven over 30 miles and no light! Funny thing is it seems weird not having it on but thats probably because it been on for me for about 4 months. :P
