And to me thats all they need on good hazing and they will never make the same mistake. When a mod just closes a thread or deletes it the original poster thinks something is wrong and then starts a completely new thread stating "my last thread disappeared" and everything starts all over

There has got to be a better way.

Maybe make it so that the " new" members are restricted to just that , the newbie section, they can view the other sections just not contribute until 50 posts are reached in the Newbie section. There are plenty of us members that scan that forum daily looking for someone to help . We just don't like it looking for us if you catch my drift.
Understood completely! I think that if we, as members who have been around a while, would step back for a second and teach them how to search; help them along; provide a link for a thread that just was brought up...etc. That it would be a MUCH LARGER help than responses such as "search you dumb n00b."

I disagree, for now... I think it has the potential to turn either direction. Though starting off with everyone saying to search doesn't help it any!

There is always the "ignore user" button!

<-- just listing other possiblities because I know if I was a mod I wouldn't bother to ban someone for not searching... I mean, come on, look at all the reposts in OT for crying out loud!!

BobK, i just spent twenty or so minutes laughing out loud about that avatar you've got. I still cant type I thought it was so damn funny.

In regards to the mods, I half see their points. The amount of haters and blatent idiots on this sight has taken a drastic increase...and it gets to be intolerable. especially when someone asks a legit question and somebody who KNOWS IT ALL, jumps up and starts the name calling for no reason except out of anger or frustration or whatever. Really, this is a place to talk about Evos...not supress opinions or hate people for doing what it is they like. People need to learn to voice their opinions in a manner they would like to be spoken to....think about that. If someone called you a douchebag for liking a big wing on a car, would you get bent? Most likely....so if so, dont call people douchebags. Simple.

I missed the point on this one.

Also,

I still can't see why the Newbies in the newbie area wouldn't work.
