Thats fine, and you wont see me take any of my pissy attitude in other threads (at least for the most part hehe). So I'll keep it in here

I dont think you would find another account if I created one though, its not like I would come right back and post a thread like this sheesh. I usually only use EvoM for getting help, pictures, or movies (which I cant really get and the entire reason for posting this).

1. This is a privately run owned and operated site.

Therefore, the owner is free to pick and chose who he wants to run , who he will allow to be a member of, who he will allow to advertise on, and what rules wil be enforced herein.
I do agree with that though, so I am fighting a losing battle. However these rules have been put in place by KK and pretty much kept the same since. Why not revisit them from time to time?

You can't really get movies on street racing.

I do, however, know of a guy that posted videos rather regularly on this stie until he violated the rules too much.

Id be more than happy to PM you his username, so you can look him up.

We revisted and revised the rules when SPT took control of the site after Mark's death. Mainly, we made them more stringent since the maturity level was dropping at an alarming rat.e

Thats cool if SPT wants to keep the rules the same, but we shouldnt just keep them like that to honor the original owner (I think were doing that by keeping the site up). But whatever

Why fix something that's not broken? The rules work, give the staff the power to keep the membership under control, and for the site to run effectively.

Sure, some people will object, but it works just fine for 99% of the membership.

About the original petition thing, was he thinking of the thread on how to become an EvoM Guru? Because if I remember correctly, the other members can petition/vote people into that title.

I think all the rules are just fine, except for the one (no street racing posts/clips).

Yet people from Malasia and what not come on here and post clips about their highway beatings and just because its legal in their country, we seem to allow it here. Seems kind of off to me, but thats my 2 cents.

No, it was on some other street racing thread... I think it was SPT (may be wrong though) but it was one of the admins, saying if you dont like the rules, become a moderator and try to change it. Thats all I remember...

Couple of quick comments.

1. Thread title = CONFRONTATIONAL! If you wanted to be considered as a legit member with a legit concern you shot yourself in the foot.

2. Opening line...... again see point 1. No one is there right mind would want to address you in a civil manner and want to take you serious with an attack like that. If you have a legit issue be mature and express your opinion in a manner as such.

3. The MODS..... guys IMO your feeding into the situation. A cop has to be calm even in the face of stupidity. Sometimes you guys need to do the same. This isnt a personal attack, but alot of times you guys take a general comment about MODS personal and you attack right back. Thats completely counter productive. Its HARD to admin/moderate a forum, trust me I know, but sometimes YOU have to take the high road and maintain YOUR professionalism even when members dont. YOUR the one that should be held to a higher standard, because your in a position of athourity. That sucks but its a fact of life.
Overall I think most of you guys do a good job, but you guys have some in your ranks that lack people skills and the ability to be professional.

ALL this is JMO.......

That is COMPLETELY different than what you are claiming was said.

The statement you just said, is 100% true. IF you become a moderator, you can become a part of what goes on to run this site and make changes.

What you had oringally claimed, was that you coupd petition to join the staff, which is not true.

You guys (moderators) are NOT hearing him out. Looks like you guys are POWER hungry. Take the criticism and LEARN for a change.

I agree with you on all points. You and I have had it out a couple times in OT, but I still respect your view. We do, on occassion, get "snippy" or the like. We try to keep stuff as professional as possbile, and we even do it all for free

I remember it reading if you dont like the rules (in this case a street racing thread or post or clip) then you can petition to become a moderator and later try and change that rule. I keep saying the same thing...

My openting title was a little confrontational though, I'll take owernship of that.
