It may not be possible to look at every post, but selectively avoiding certain people and attacking others IS NOT the way it should be done.
Obviously, I am not alone in believe that the Mods on here pick and choose when and who to enforce rules against.
Then comes they way in which the Mods handle a situation. Often they are unprofessional, short, and frankly quite rude. Come on people LEAD BY EXAMPLE!

I don't care who broke the rule, only the fact the rule was broken. Like Chaos has stated, the Mods here have the hard job of being police officers. And just like getting a speeding ticket, when you're that guy - you don't like being on the receiving end of the law.
And to end, to lead by example, that goes both ways. So if you broke the rule. Reflect upon what happened, work towards not breaking the rule in the future. Move on.

Oh believe me....my "lesson" is well learned. Never again will I try to help a friend see if there is interest on this site. Oh my....that was a HUGE no no. I got a warning and personally I do not really care. I was wrong. I got it. The car sitting in my driveway, in my possession had not been discussed. OOPS.
On that note...the "rules" need established so that they cannot be left up for interpretation and so that they can be enforced to the letter. No compromise, no misunderstanding, and everyone is held to the same standard.
What you Admins and Mods do not seem to want to admit is that you selectively do your job and consistency is not part of your plans. You want to make excuses that the site is too big, you can't look at every post. Blah, Blah, Blah. If you are going to do a job then do it to everyone you come across and be consistent with your punishments.

We agree whole heartedly with you, despite the fact that we have never even met you. Evom is full of vendor politics and when you are a not a dealer of BR products, you become the subject of countless attacks. When you respond, they contact all of the dealers via IM to respond on their behalf and even when they don't, the ones looking to try and impress them will fan the fires and cheerlead, spread the wealth of rule breaking so that a single supporter dealer will not get enough points to accumulate that "time out" infraction point level.
Its the equivalent of working for the mob and I hope at least our opinion can remain in here because it is on topic.

I agree with most people and think that the rules are sometimes randomly enforced.
However, what I am most annoyed about is the fact that certain vendors constantly break the rules and aren't punished for it.
Obviously this thread is going unchecked...

It was so peaceful on these forums when when DB's account was temp-banned. Now everywhere I look, if there's an argument, DB and his cahoots (namely Dynoflash and AWD) are there stoking the fires. It's supposed to be one Evo community but it doesn't look like it when these guys are rambling.
And since Mike is in here I'll add an off-topic comment about TTP's dyno since that seems to get you riled up. How about the fact that what their numbers read is none of your business? A supposed to be used to measure gains from the baseline and then again after some mods. Comparing one dyno to another is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. Don't bother replying because I don't intend to check in on this thread again.
Another message to the mods, I believe the rules need to be evenly enforced. If DB is allowed to act like that in the thread I linked, why do I get a warning (albeit not an infraction) for "being rude" when DB is obviously flaming other vendors?
Getting tired of it to be honest...

Refrain from make accusations about our entire staff as one single entity like we are all the same. In the future, if you see something that you feel needs to be moderated, REPORT IT. It's that simple.
As it was already pointed out, this thread is only in existence because YOU were singled out and clearly that didn't sit right with you. I explained myself in detail and politely. You have no ground to walk on with that issue and you know that.
I'm all for making the site a more efficient and friendly place. Trying to turn the general population against the staff over a meaningless WARNING; is not going to help get that done.

This comment is your own made up interpretation of how you think things are.
Where were you a month ago when David Buschur served a 30 day ban?

Its not all the mods, some are very neutral in every case they deal with....
Its easy to see the ones that arent. Some sit on their moderator soap box and deal with situations accordingly. We got blasted on one of our local threads for "cross posting".... Then going thru the same thread, a couple vendors do the exact same thing and nothing is ever said.

Again...you think this is all about me making everyone against the mods. I am not on a personal vendetta I assure you. Although it did upset me that I did something wrong, what upset me more is that my infraction was chosen over another person's infraction.
Me getting "singled out" just got me started on discovering the corruptness within the controllers of these forums.
Every once in a while a little guy stands up against the masses. The end result is that things change for the better.
As I stated earlier, I am not alone in my findings. Maybe, just maybe, people will take notice and things on here will change.
Believe me Jeff....I fully understand your "reality".

I respect your work and the work of all the mods. I do get to have an opinion on how I interpret things.
Mods will moderate as they see fit and we are not commenting on it. We are commenting on how the offenders are taking their infractable point risks though.
Personally you will see me yield more often then ever these days when the flaming competitors try and bait me into engaging into off topic or to commit infractions at their level.
It is at this point that I will yield and hope that moderation will run its couse and the right action prevail versus continuing in a site degrading downward spiral with the back and forth high schoolish posting.
Paul,
I just hope you see where I'm coming from with my two cents. Trust me, you posted and I listened. I realize that there will always be aspects that need adjusting. I appreciate you being polite and civil about it. I have no gripes about this thread at all.
I hope members will contribute to it by stating issues with specific examples that they feel need to be addressed.
I mean Obama is president due to "change" so something must be right there. I kid I kid lol

TTP,
Anything you feel is a personal/direct attack you should immediately PM Bob or JD. They are our admins and vendor to vendor issues are fed directly to them.
Rather than retaliate or contribute to an issue with another vendor just go straight to an admin.
In the end that is best for the site as well as both vendors.

....oops. Did you just go off topic?See how easy it is to break a rule.
Thus I digress....
Rather than have users report what they see is wrong, just show fairness across every decisions that is made regarding the "rules". All of us on here are subject to them and we all need to be held accountable.
I shouldn't have to go into the for sale forums and bring them to your attention. The infractions are obvious. Nor should I have to go into any pissing match between vendors and report them. The infractions are, again, obvious.
I guess it comes down to if the mods want to either do their job they so graciously volunteered for, or simply, turn the other cheek and wait for someone to report an issue.
Issues sometimes need to be pointed out to be effectively and efficiently handled. This is true of automobile manufacturers and internet service providers. Ultimately the end user has a hand in service running smoothly.
