I think the minimum 15 posts rule for posting FS items should be modified.
That's what the mods are here for. I watched yesterday someone posted in the general section abhout tires and within 20 minutes it was moved. You can also report the thread and the mods will be able to view the reported threads.
Agree with original poster. Been reading this forum for a year but posting volumn is low. Purchased a motor off the FS section too but don't have enough to post that I need to find a IX alternator bracket....

The minimum post count rule isn't something that you can really SEE working, however it does help. Of course you won't stop them all, but it is better than nothing. Most scammers want to just get in and get out quickly. If they have to spend some time on the site and put themselves on member's rader, then it becomes slightly harder to scam, as you can just look through a members posting history to tell if they were just trying to bypass the posting system. IMO the classifieds should be used for members of the COMMUNITY to buy and sell items, not for some random Joe to pop in, sell stuff, then GTFO. That just clogs up the site. If all you want to do is unload some parts quickly, there's always eBay and Craigslist.

Hi, Im new to the forum and I respect the minimum post rule but what I don't understand is how its only showing ive posted 3 times when I have actually posted 10-11 times? Is there a certain section I have to post in first?
Thanks, Erik.
Thanks, Erik.
50 is a good number to create a FS thread. I would personally like to be able to post in a FS thread at a lower number. I am on here nearly daily reading and following threads. For the most part if I dont feel Im adding value to the forum I keep to myself as you can see by my post count. I have started posting more just so I can post in the FS threads. So my vote- higher post count to create, lower to post in FS. Just my .02 nobody asked for......
Here's a fix to solve the post count & membership time issue: Charge a yearly (small) fee to belong
Take a cue from the Lancer forum in the UK: http://www.lancerregister.com/home.php
You can join for free, but they limit your post count to 20 per month & have restrictions on FS threads (LOL, I know, Ive hit the max). The membership includes some track related benefits and other things.
I would pay to belong
Joe

I agree with some of the others i also do alot more reading than actual posting and i feel the 15 post rule is pretty fair even thought other forums do have much higher post requirement but its different here not every post counts and mods do a great job of being on top of things. Im a member of another forum local to me jdmsouth.com and there min post requirement is 35 but any post count there i got like 15 just on the noob intro its more useless **** talking post than anything lol well my point being their min requirement is much higher but the rules here are much more strict and in my opinion makes the 15post count 3 times as hard as their 35post count which is a good thing in my book .
Keep up the great work evom mods !!!!

I agree with having the post count in order to post in the classifieds, Only downside is that im a DSM guy so i dont post much in the Evo community, but i love when you guys upgrade your parts so i can ****** up the oem evo stuff for my dsm.
