I think the minimum 15 posts rule for posting FS items should be modified.

Personally for me, I've been a member for a while now. I'm not an EVO owner so I really have no reason to go through the forums looking at stuff that I'm not exactly interested in. Sure, there's awesome cars and stuff. But I'm here for the For Sale section only, specifically to buy. And I did just finally, yesterday; get a set of wheels that I've been wanting for a good price. It would have been much smoother transaction if I could post in the thread(s) and not have to PM everyone though.

i had to get to fifty posts before i could post, did it bother me? not at all you can still purchase by pming the seller which i always thought was better anyways because you didnt bump the thread back to the top in hopes others miss it lol.

but its also bad like for example, you see a part you really need and you cant buy it cause you have to do the 15 posts, and by the time your done doing them the part is sold, that sucks major

I don't have a problem with the minimum post rule. Just that it has to be in non-off-topic threads. I find that it is hard to contribute in the non-off-topic because I have a Lancer and am not familiar with Evos. I won't cry, though. It serves a good purpose to have a min post count.

all you have to do is send the seller a private message, there is no need to post anything if all your doing is purchasing

If anything, I strongly believe the number of posts needed to get into the market place needs to be increased dramatically. I feel it should not only be unaccessible to members with less than 50 posts and three months membership, it should also be completely unaccessible as well as unviewable.

I have been a member for years. Just did my 15th post today and still can't post in the market place! These rules are stupid the only reason I joined this was to be able to buy and sell parts and I can't even do that unless I pm someone which they never check until its too late! I think these should be changed too

15 Post

Maybe the best compromise would be X number of post or X number of years / months
the requirement of making X number of post alone is silly by it self what if some one have nothing to post but have been a member for several years should that person be required to make up silly treads /posts just to meet the requirement be it 15 ,50, or 100?

Agreed. I've been a member for a year or more, the same amount of time I've had my evo. I don't post(well very rarely), simply because i have nothing good i can offer that's worth anything.I don't want to post nonsense to make "quota". My knowledge on my vehicle is very limited. Hence, I'm on evom to learn, to get reviews and opinions, and to buy from members and vendors. As i've modded my car over the year, i've gathered parts, which i would like to sell badly! But i can't, and well, i respect your rules even if i don't agree with them. But i personally wish it was easier to list items for sale. Some people say they wont buy parts from someone that's somewhat new to evom or have low sales rating, understandable, but don't put us all in that category."don't judge the book by its cover" I'm an awesome seller/buyer on ebay(100% positive feedback). If thats not enough for you, i'm a Specialist in the Army(Military Police). If that doesn't say something about my character, then what does? 15 posts? 500 posts?

One day....one day i'll hit 15(or whatever magical number) and be able to post where i please, and maybe sell some stuff at some good prices!
THIS POST IS SIMPLY MY OPINION, AND IN NO WAY MEANT TO BE DISRESPECTFUL TO ADMIN, MODS, OR ANYONE ELSE.
