The way it was described to me by Jestr is this. With alky (or race gas), you'll be hitting higher load cells than you would be on straight pump, and the ECU can be programmed as such. The lower load cells get programmed for 93 octane, and the higher load cells get programmed for race gas or alky, and so the single tune covers both scenerios. Or at least this is my basic understanding, and I may be oversimplifying things. Your best bet would be to talk to Jestr and see what thinks about how to get what you want accomplished.

His general comments early on were if you're on stock turbo and stock injectors, an hour should be plenty of time to get a very good custom tune done. If you're on larger injectors and larger turbo, 1-2 hr's would be plenty. Dyno time cost is still up in the air, the more people we get the cheaper it should be. But $140-170 per hour is probably the range it will fall in. If we get 1-2 people, it'll be closer to $140. I'm going to pay for an extra EngineLogics guy to move and strap the cars down out of my own pocket. I don't feel like having to do that personally, and as organizer I don't think you guys should have to either.
I wanted 2 maps to switch between on the stock ecu. I can load up either one depending on what kind of racing i would be doing. I just want to make sure he has enough time to give me a good tune. Can you sign me up for 3 - 6 and let me know who I need to pay to reserve my spot. Thanks

ahhh, I'm with you now. Look at the first post of this thread, and there should be a paypal account for Jestr for the tune, and myself to reserve the dyno slot. $100 to each. Post a new message in this thread when you get your deposit in, and I'll add you to the list. I'm interested to see how quick your setup spools up, I bet it's insane on the street!

This is awesome, we're almost full up now.

For those staying from out of town, the Country Inn and Suites is about 2 miles from EL, looks nice and gets good reviews from Hotels.com .

Hey... is Jestr out of pocket? I have emailed him about getting a M1 flash since I am unable to make the Tuning day in Houston (from San Antonio-and out of town). I haven't heard back from him but notice that he is doing a bunch of dyno tune days around the country.

Jestr was on vacation through Jan. 4. I'm sure he's backed up on emails, I've got one into him also that hasn't been answered yet.

I spoke with Jestr, and we're all set. He's flying in that Friday night. For those that have had a hard time reaching him by email, he's been on vacation, and his mailbox is full. He's working through them, but if you need questions answered before you can decide on participating in this dyno/tuning session, pm me and I can either answer your questions or forward questions to him since an email may get lost in the shuffle.

OK, Jestr is still trying to dig out from being out of the office for awhile, but he's thinking he only has 6 deposits instead of the 7 I've got listed below. But he's working with real names, and I'm working with evom screen names, so we're speaking a different langauge.

Can you guys on the list pm me your real name so that we can get it all sorted out? Also, send my your cell number so that I can call you guys with last minute updates on the day of the dyno. If we're ahead or behind schedule, I can call and let you guys know without you having to spend your whole day there. I'll reply to your pm with my contact info.

Thanks

lol, nothing like a little anonymity! Everyone who's signed up has responded, and we have a new addition with Epidemic! I'll get things straight with Jestr and make sure we have everyone who's paid a deposit is accounted for. If a transaction somehow got lost through the shuffle or didn't make it through, we still have time to get things worked out and organized.

Sweet. I'm thinking we have a full 10 hrs. worth of tuning now, so the price should be close to the $1400 per day divided up amongst us, so around $140 per hour for everyone. We might be able to squeeze one more in and lower the cost, unless Jestr wants to take 30 minutes to eat lunch, then all bets are off!
