Smile Seen any Lancers?

For all us Lancer RA owners and/or Lancer owners, do u see RA, OZ's, and Evo's often? I have never seen another RA here in Houston and I have seen more Evo's than OZ's. haha, but i do see 3 es/ls's a day.

Well there's two other OZ's here at work. I have an 04 RalliArt and so far I'm the only person I've ever seen with one here in Sacramento. I've been looking too. You know because whenever you get a new car that's when you suddenly start seeing the same car all over the place and I have yet to see another RA I love feeling rare. As for OZ's LS's and ES's I see them daily. I make a 20 mile commute to work. So I'm on the freeway alot during the day and see them often. Evo's I dont see very often. But I do drool all over my shirt as I pass up the local Mitsubishi dealer and see the blue one they have up on the stand outfront of their dealership. Does that one count?

I've seen about 20 evo's. Probably hundreds of es/ls/oz and about 4 RA's all sportbacks, but that's southern california for you

I have seen an 04 Ralliart (Black) parked just opposite my car. I think he did it on purpose.

Just curious, but why did you buy the Ralliart? I'm just trying to figure out what got you guys interested in the Lancer platform. I know why I bought the Evo, I've been obcessed with them since like '92. I absolutely love the car.

However, I haven't talked to any Ralliart owners yet and I was just wondering why you would pick the Ralliart over the regular Lancer. What were your deciding factors and what (or who) influenced you?

Thanks,

Just go and test drive the plain Lancer and the Ralliart right after and you will understand why.

For me it was the test drive.

I love the EVO but I couldn't afford one so the Lancer Ralliart was the next best thing to it at least I think so. I already have a AWD Turbo Talon, yes it's not an EVO but it's AWD. I wanted a daily driver and the Ralliart fits the bill plus I like how it drives.

Yeah, pretty much anything all wheel drive and turbo, I like. Except for VW's of course. I've had 2 different GSX's in the past, and the Evo was a perfect step up from them.

I was just curious as to why you guys chose the Ralliart over the Lancer OZ...or perhaps what made you pick a Lancer over a Civic (besides the obvious).

I think most hondas are over rated plus they lack torque. For the Civic I heard nothing but crappy reviews about it and my damn Ralliart can smoke a new Civic Si because it lacks the torque thats needed to help out in making a car fast. I didn't care for the OZ Rally, I just thought it was a rip off, ok so you get some slightly bigger rims that look nice, but you still have a weak *** engine. Sure I could have gotten a Neon but my wife is having problem's with here transmission going into gear, plus my brother in-law who has owned 3 different chrysler vehicles has had the transmission go out. They had a Jeep and 4 month's later the transmission would shift and a bunch of other crap. My buddy who owned a 97 RS Eclipse had the pin in the differential shoot thru the bell housing. Had it replaced and the next transmission burned up the clutch plates. So let me think do I want a fast car that's going to fall to pieces in 2 years or not. I've had less problem's with my Talon compared to my wife's PT Cruiser which is only 2 years old compared to my Talon which is almost 10 years old. My buddy has a 95 Civic but it has a H22A swap and it actually has power and torque to move it, and it only weighs like 2100lbs. So let me see after all of this I would rather have a Lancer Ralliart because I can't afford a EVO unless I wanted $535+ a month car payments because I still owed money on the Talon or have a $300+ car payment and have the Talon paid off and a new car.
