Didn't think of that.

My bro doesn't have too much connection to MiniMadness (host for the show) anymore. It's persoanl politics with him and the club which I'm not privy to his info and experiences.

Most don't out of begrudging respect, but there are few who talk to him out of respect for his achievements on his truck.

I'll try to ask him when he's in a better mood.

Frank, I know you have skill as a driver. IMO, probably one of the best that I know, it shouldn't go to your head. If someone gives you a stock GS-T, I'm willing to bet you'll drive the hell out of it on the 1/4 w/ surprising fast times.

It'll be probably too hard for you to take on Cory. His header will make all the difference off the launch, in spite of the weight advantage from your ES. I/E help, but header makes all the grunt work from 1st and 2nd gear.

For me. I was average fast when I first met you guys (willing to acknowledge Cory's current mods would have beaten my car then . . . I was probably pushing 122-127 flywheel HP.

After a few mods w/o tuning, during Cory's trip to TB for the interview, I was pushing probably 130-135 flywheel at max. My motor was suffering from clogged injectors and extreme richness from 4200 to 5500 rpm.

Now, after tuning and minor rewiring to solve my electrical gremlin problems (almost complete), I'm probably running 140-152 flywheel HP. My rpm flys from 4000-5800 rpm with no problem of richess. My only problem is now my engine wants to rev beyond 6500-6600 rpm in 1st gear, making sloppy shifts.

David, what does your car run in a 1/4 or what are some estimations of what your car might run at this current time with your current settings?

The last time I've had run my car just over a year ago. I only have only topspeed intake, Magnecor wires, header, and GSX FP.

Being a rookie and didn't hold revs. The car ran extremely rich.
60 foot times was 2.6 sec
1/8 was in the high tens or low 11 at 66 mph
1/4 was 17.7 at 77 mph.

I've never run my car with the current setup . . . still some bugs to work out in the electrical department.

I should be under 17 sec about +85 mph, guessimation. If I hit the low 90's, Ill be surprised.

Ok all... I see alot of you going back and forth talking about seeing who has the fastest Lancer..

David - Remember when I told you about finding out when we could all go out to Bradenton?? I found the schedule.

http://www.bradentonmotorsports.com/schedule.html

Friday - November 8th from 8pm - 2am. Import Street Racing / Test & Tune

Since we all have about 2 weeks to plan this out. How about we organize a showing of Tampa area Lancers to go up there? Anyone in??

I would like to go so bad I can taste it, but I was going to go out there with my "team" and we was going to get slips on all of our cars next Thursday.. I told my dad about it and he started *****ing about me not making any payments on the car yet so that supposedly made his decision..

Maybe after I start "paying" on the car I could head out there..

where on sat and what time?

track . . . I'm not sure my car will be ready. My interior is still taken apart, fix some electrical gremlin and rewiring, and fix my swaybar - getting loose and squeeky.

I'm down!!! But I think I got a prob with my engine. It seems like I have to give it more gas in order for the car not to stall or jump. It happens alot when the AC is on, but now its almost all the time. David, what do you think the problem is? Anyone?

My best best is probably disconnect your battery for 2-3 mins. I do believe your ecu has learned something bad from your intake reading. It will do that from time to time, and I doubt you have sucked up big foreign particles or water.

After the reset, drive your car a bit (will be rough until hitting the 40 miler marker). Afterwards, it should be fine. If it happens again, there is something amiss.

Hey Tampa Lancer,

Have you changed your plugs? My car is doing that right now but I believe it is due to my miss-gap on two plugs. I'm taking them out and regapping them when i have a chance. If it's not that then I would definately try to reset the ecu. But drive the car normally. Don't push it for the first 40 miles or so. Thats when your car will be able to pick up normal idle and acceleration instructions.
