You put money in his hand and he'll work on anything.

I joke around with TJ that he won't work on Evo's, only to keep him to myself. He's done several jobs for me.
Well, that and how bad he picks on most of the other evo guys around here on ARS. He's a very competent mechanic, and a skilled fabricator for sure. The manifolds he made for adams 240 are just pure sechs.

In fact I know he used to own an MR2, and loves to wrench on subies.

edit: I have not used the AMS upgrade path, but have some of their stuff on my car. bang for buck, you're not gonna beat most of their stuff.

Yeah that's kind of what I figured, with times being as tough as they are, people probably aren't turning away too much work. A competant mechanic should be able to intall just about anything, and as long as it isn't anything like tuning or engine management, I would feel confident in going to a non-Evo specialist to have something installed. But it does make it easier if you know the people before walking in to a shop thick with 'Stangs or F-bodies and ask them to install a turbo on your "Mitzybitsy"

Oh yeah, I've heard of them. They have one of the few AWD dynos in the state. And yeah, they are heavy into Vw Audi stuff, I was thinking it was someone local you were referring too.

What day is this cruise? I only have Thursday and Fridays off. This week I have Wednesday off for some kind of DUI training but that will be over by 3-4pm. I pick my car back up at 6pm from getting a new clutch, flywheel and all my timing components done. Never knew how hard it would be to just find a waterpump around here. Let me know what day all this happens. Maybe I can take off work to go if its Sat or Sun pending I put some miles on the new clutch.

autox was great!!! C and Chris have a really heated battle going on. Chris got C this time by 2 100s of a second! yikes. we also had a GA Evo show up, him and his son got first and second fastest time of the day over all. Matt ran too finally and killed almost everyone with super fast times. the blue bomber did pretty good too, need to do a little work on her to get her back up to par. of course it was raining in the morning so i guess us AWD cars had a little advantage over the miatas. lol the weather was perfect after lunch though, drying up most of the course but leaving a few wet spots to keep it interesting.

next autox will be june 7th.

hope to see most of you this saturday for the mountain run!

Yes, apparently I was in the Evo that drove itself all day. Im gonna have to go with the red evo that was fastest for the day must have been driving itself cause there were several times I thought for sure they were going to spin out and they just kept smoking those tires and missing cones. It was nuts. Its amazing how quick I was while racing, and then while driving home in the rain it was all I could do to not wreck with my bald rear tires.

So next autox is on June 7th?! Thats so soon.
