New Evo in the Tampa area! ... I should be picking up the wife's PB 08 Evo this weekend. I'll try to keep up in this area to see when the meets and such are happening.

Which HESS will you be meeting at? I might have the car back up here at 8pm and I'm pretty sure the wife will want to take her new car out for a spin.

Also, What is Peabody's? I'm still fairly fresh to the area.

 

Peabodys is a pool hall where they hold the meet every other saturday night. The parking lot is a decent size and its usually filled up so its a great place to meet a bunch of people since your new to the area. Alex (hisevo7) is almost always there and a couple of other evos so you will definitely have a small crew to hang out with.

 

Ramon, thanks for answering the question about Peabody's. I haven't missed a TCM since I discovered them almost a year ago! I have made many contacts through TCM and I help promote them as often as possible.

Unlike USF Car Meets, TCM I always free to attend. (USF Car Meets is usually only a dollar, but that's not the point...)

We meet up at the HESS gas station located on Bruce B. Downs and 43rd Street at 8:00 pm to have meet and greets with each other... then we roll out and occupy space that's usually reserved for us at the TCM.

The reason USF charges is cause they do the competitions and give out 50$ gas cards and things like that.

 

Please don't misunderstand me. I attend the USF car meet often. I only stated that because some people believe that you shouldn't have to pay to gather and network. Both TCM and USF have completely different agendas and structure.

I am biased to TCM, I will admit. The TCM heads actively try to speak to everyone and even learn their names, cars, and interests.

I love to gather, so I attend as many functions as possible, when possible.

 

You guys might appreciate this. I was pleasantly surprised this morning to find that one of my photos was used yesterday in a Jalopnik answers of the day article, for the ten most annoying groups of car owners. To top it off, the picture was of a Subaru! HAHAHA!

 

What an interesting article! I'm sure there is something negative to say about all fan boys, but they really nailed the ten they pointed out...

...I thank them for leaving Evos out of that roast!

Makes plans for a BBQ on the last weekend of October! It will be held at an Evo owners beach home!
