Windshield Wiper review

hey guys, recently my passenger wiper just gave out... now i have a dangling rubber whipping around while i drive and my driver side streaks and just crap all together.

anyone here changed their wipers?

i'm looking for new wipers and looked online and kept getting mixed reviews of what wipers to get.

i'm thinking about Rain X latitude, Armor all Silicon Wiper or just something with the new frameless blades but i'm getting mixed reviews.

anyone know of personal experience if they're good or which one i should buy?

I'm using those RainX ones, I think just the regular ones. Swapped them the week I got the car over a year ago. No issues, still works fine. Never gets jammed on ice, and wipes no problem.

Best you can get is the Bosch I would say. It cost more, but I loved it. I had it on my RA for a year and it never caused me issues.

Important thing though, is that you have to clean a wiper from time to time. Cleaning a wiper can make a lot of difference.

I got a few sets of frameless bosche icons for cheap during a sale. They look a lot sleeker than the stock wipers. Functionally, they're just about the same in the rain up to about 50. Above that, they work a bit better.

Another area where they work well is when you spray washer fluid on a dry day. Problem with the normal wipers is that the frame has a lot of parts where droplets stick to and it ends up splattering washer fluid onto the windshield after the initial wipe. The frameless ones don't have as much a problem.

I had those reflex or whatever ones from Canadian tire for a while, then the passenger one gave out again last week like the stocks did before. Now i have the Bosch wipers and they are damn good.

*update*

alright finally went around and decided to get the rain-x altitude for our lancers... it's pretty decent, but every now and then it'll leave streaks... exspecially when it's cold... so i'm just assuming the rain-x aren't really built for winter. i leave my car out in the cold and snow everyday so i gotta have something tough to handle the conditions.

just giving everyone a heads up if you're planning to spend 50$ on wipers... rain-x in my opinion aren't worth 50$ so might get something else.

I run the Valeo Ultimate wipers. You can get them from Tire Rack or about any dealership now a days. Ford normally has them for $20 each if you cant wait for shipping.
