Did an evo 9 last night. GT35 , with 26lbs of boost. The difference in the graph was just by adding a HKS 280 cam.. to the exhaust side. Changed the cam on the dyno back to back .. pulls.

Wow! 31 whp gain from 1 cam!!! But im assuming the gain is also attributed to the gt35r turbo correct?

Same boost , same turbo ..same everything. All we did was put the cam in .. thats it. Did another pull and thats what we got.

I also noticed that on the 2nd dyno after the cams it was almost 10 degrees colder, so that helped with the gain

 

Wow. Do you think any good gains can be seen on the stock turbo on the IX?

 

Just wondering, what is the full mod list for the IX? I wonder how much power this car can make with out building the engine. If it gained 30WHP from one cam, imagine how much it could make with two when HKS releases the Cams for the IX.

Ecutek flashed, exhaust ( turbo back ). Boost controler, GT35 with manifold.. Stock front mount

Idle is choppy with the 280 exhaust and the 750's ... but not bad


We are working on the intake cam, Think we will have something to put into this car by late in the week. HKS has no idea when the intake cam will be out for this car. I can tell you however its bigger then an 8 cam. Cant wait for HKS .... stay tuned ..

Damn..this is good news Mark, I got my IX already, just need to break it in, then install my old parts from the VIII and I'm ready for the tune. Gotta get ready before the autox/track season start heh.

 

I wonder what the power gains would be with the stock turbo....
