Why do you always downplay drag racing?Drag is what most people do because its a much cheaper entry level motorsport. Not many people have 1k to drop every weekend on a track day.I used to road race and i got out because it was too expensive as a privateer to do it competitively.

On that note that 33r has sprarked my interest as a good street/strip turbo.what would they cost?

CBRD just said it isn't their thing and isn't what their products were designed for. No harm in that.

well most evo owners that are racers drag. The others(more then id like) rice out their evos and park in lots for autoshows. There is no major difference in a road race turbo or a drag turbo except when you get into med-big fram turbos.BBK,RED,GREEN are pretty much the same thing(relatively speaking) as far as spoolin and what not.A BBK should be able to perfom on the strip like all other SA turbos.Drag is not their thing yet they hosted a drag event go figure

No offense but I emailed CBRD two weeks ago and called twice, no return calls or emails, ended up finding a red, and had it in a week.

Excellent news ....Was glad to be able to witness the BBK "large" prototype in action. When the billet form hits the market it will be another BBK amazing product.

we weren't really interested in the beginning but have done testing just to further our knowledge of the flow ranges, power levels etc..... so we have decided to move forward with a billet version and see where that takes us.

the beauty of it, will be that any existing BBK owner will be able to upgrade at a very reasonable price

more details once the final version is tested.... but one has made 480whp on E85 on a mustang dyno in just its cast compressor form.... so very promising...

so just wanted to update everyone!!!

hope all is well.

cheers, from your friends at CBRD!

everyone says how bad FP is but I had a turbo from them in a week, and it was no issue to get them on the phone.

Glad you had a positive experience with FP. My experience with FP was not as delightful as yours. That is why my next purchase will be a BBK product.

I am not here to pollute their thread but too admire their accomplishments. Maybe you can start your own thread and admire FP with your successes. I don't find FP threads and bother their threads with my negative remarks.

Glad to see you guys may come out with the BBK Full+ ...I rode in someone's car when they had 1 and it was a beast on pump gas and a dying stock clutch...

The difference is they dont have a good test car for drag or a driver.. You cant show the performance of the turbo if you dont have a consistent drag race driver.. Its a pretty simple concept..
