Evo 9 mr Porblems

Hi there. I have a 2006 Evolution mr. Just of late i have in stalled a full injen intake as well as a GFB Decepter Pro blow off valve. Im getting stock boost of 13 - 15 in first gear then around 17 - 18 in others. Is this correct. I strongly feel that the blow off valve could be my main source of performance lost because when i tested the Blow of Valve alone i realized a loss in performance. Also my RPM's are getting stuck at high RPM's. Someone suggest that i should tune my blow off valve but im just thinking about puting the stock one back on. Do you think that the stock BOV would be my best bet to gain back my loss performance. Thank you

u just did the 2 worst mods you can do....your losing power because of the intake, your ecu is pulling timing and your are proably runing pig rich, and in turn the ecu lowers boost, the blow off valve is causing your drivabilty issues...i would put eveything back to stock reset your ecu, sell those parts get an exhaust, mbc, and a tune and have nearly an 11 sec evo..
good luck

If your going to run an intake you need to be tuned for it! If your not your car will be slower plain and simply. If you truely want to keep the intake and you want to get a boost controller then do so and get a flash for it right after for like 125 for the email version plus an $80 tactrix cable and $25 evoscan so you log it or you can take it to a tuner if one is local to you. Then as you add mods you can always get a new flash for those mods. If you can't afford to do all that then get rid of the bov as it does nothing for power and causes driviability issues and put the stock intake box back on.
