I was up to cbrd on tuesday and saw my new ic pipes and man do they look good. hargetts ftw. my exhaust also looked good with the new resonators, brent does a great job. wish i woulda taken pics but the pipes werent on the car at the time since the next thing is taking the head off.

just wanted to update my build thread with what should b my last mods.


after my qm clutch failed and sheared off my input shaft in the process i sent the trans to shep for the ultimate ratio plus billet output shaft. i also stepped up to the carbonetics tripple 1450kg clutch. i have almost 500 miles on this setup and the trans is getting smoother ever hundred miles while the clutch grabs with stock like peddal feel.

update:

got rid of meth injection and made some other tweaks with added valvespring seats, new lifters, kiggly hla, tephra v7, catch can setup, egr delete. power was down more than expected lost 90hp and 90tq. my built block has 30k on it and it could be the reason or even the changed head work. idk im lost. you can see on the graph that after 7k he couldnt pick up any power even when getting aggressive. but it also didnt lose power it held perfectly straight like there was an invisible wall.

well you removed the meth injection which can turn the 93 up to 100oct (or higher - depends on nozzle cc), so thats why you're down on power. plus the summer heat will take away another 30-40whp easily.

i knew i would lose power but i should have lost 50 or so not 90. the part that is strange is the power from 7-8k. i emailed gsc and pm'd them but never got a reply.

so after 10 years of owning my evo its time to move on to other things. im still gonna be on the site. i want to thank everyone on here for helping me with how to threads and all
