AWD D2 coilover setup
Ok so recently i had STM add some more go fast goodies in my race for the ricers old record. i had stock suspension and i know that it had to go so i could run some legit slicks. not just for the cool factor of slicks on all four corners, but i needed them for the power we were planning for. so after a quick discussion we chose the AWD D2 set up and a call to mike was made. They were shipped quick and got to the shop faster then expected. When i opened the box i almost didnt wanna put them on as they looked so much nicer then the last coilover setup i had(Ksports). but after emery distracted me and they took my keys they put them on. i was a little concerned at first because of all the cars i have had in my life a coilover suspenision was nice at the track and that was about it.
but i have driven on these for about 2 weeks now and i have to say its one of the nicest coilover setups i have had. it feels better then stock and when i took the car to a private test track
to practice my launch i was supprised at how awesome it felt when it just squatted down and left unlike the stock suspension at my power level. i would reccomond these to anyone looking to make serious power and want to put it to the ground. so thanks again to mike @ AWD and emery @ STM for everything

What kind of power do you need to make this a worth while mod. Does the cornering performance go to poop? I see they don't recommend them for autoX.

IMO if you are at the level where you need slicks these are what to go with. ive never had a intrest in auto x type stuff, but maybe with a stiffer spring on them you would be fine
I already have OHLINS DE's and I was thinking about stepping down to these. I am sure they will improve the launch, its just sad to take such nice coilovers to go faster in a straightline, although thats kinda the direction my car has been heading.
Yep I know what you mean 20gmr. At first I thouht I was gonna mainly do autox, but I didn't like the idea of being in a certain class with certain mods. Plus everybody loves a good drag race.
