ShapeGSX,

Well.....our EVO ran 11.65 at 117.8 mph, if I remember right we had a pass at 118 mph too, but don't recall for sure. I guess 117.88 is close enough to 118. That makes a 6 mph difference.

Our car made 390 whp on race gas when we ran 118 mph. It was full weight with a 200 pound driver. Only lightening of the car was from our parts.

Curt is lighter and he has some lighter wheels/tires on the car. Not sure how much that would help, let's guess and say 1.5 mph. That would put ours at 119.5 mph. Still leaves us 4.5 mph which could be said to be 45 whp. That means he could have been making as much as 435 to the wheels. He had a very aggressive tune in the car, still 435 on the stock turbo is a ton of power. I know Curt power shifted the car also (didn't lift on the shifts) this will add some MPH to a run too. We lifted to shift on our car when we ran it.

I am currently at 388 whp on my RS on straight 94 octane. The car has a tune in it that I wouldn't be afraid to send to any customer on any octane. To say that the stock turbo can make 435 whp is a stretch I think, possible....maybe.

There is a dyno thread we have been doing tons of testing on in the Engine/Turbo/Drivetrain section. The stock turbo can have some tricks done to it to make more power, porting and a certain degree of clipping can pick it up some. Still you are talking about at the absolute most a 15 whp gain no matter how you put the turbo together. I have tried every housing, every compressor cover, different port work, ti-al turbine wheels and different clips. It is just out of CFM.

With race gas or alcohol on the RS it will be very easy to eclipse the 400 whp mark and I am going to get on doing that in the next week or so. 388 on straight pump with the tune that is in the car is far from what it can make.

That stock turbo is a very hard part to beat. Build the car around that turbo and you have one *** kicking combination. Fast spooling, hard hitting and high HP numbers.
