GT3071 dyno results

Just tested a 3071 turbo with our turbo adapter (allows it to bolt on to stock exhaust manifold).

Other mods:

Stock head, stock block with 280 cams at 0,0 deg
BJ Sheetmetal intake manifold
680cc injectors withe fuel pump
Stock airbox with stock BOV
XEDE/XEDEFlash
Sig exhaust WITH cat
91oct at 23psi

Results: 360whp

Surprised the heck out of us. The most we ever expect to make on 91oct is 300-320whp. Maybe there is something to those 280 cams afterall

cheers,
Shiv

shiv,

Az3ar and I are driving down to your dyno day next week in GA, Az3ar (who is at work right now and asked me to post this) was considering a equal legnth manifold and buying a T3 hotside for is atp turbo... but you have made soooo much power of your ''adapter plate" he was wondering if this is very much different then his atp and would he benifit from purchasing your adapter instead

thanks

dont know most we ever saw with the ATP even on race gas is 1 390ish with a 3037 most are making 350-360 on race. None have ever made more than 320 on pump. our own stage3 3037 does 320-335 with a 3037, 340-355 on a 35R so this combo is really impressive. We knew it was fast before we put it on the dyno at 19 PSI it did 335. Tuning brought it up to 355

So, how does the ATP kit on top of stage 1+ differ from your stage 3? ( Part wise.)

so this collar with a 3071 makes more than a stage3 3037?

David, I am lost.. What do you mean by a turbo adapter? A turbo adapter must be the exhaust turbine housing. Is your turbo adapter an exhaust housing that bolts on the stock manifold just like the ATP one but different design?? Or is it an adapter for the ATP kit? Last call we talked about my kit and I told you I will see what my next plan will be after my dyno day south. But now you guys have made so much power with your adapter and the 280 that I am thinking about buying them by Monday (before the dyno day). I was thinking about manifold with T3 flange and to change my turbine side to T3 and that will put me on the right track. It seems that the 3071 loved the 280 cams and I will get them by Monday from Andrew but I want to know what was difference.

Thanks guys,

^ i belive its an adapter plate that bolts on to the stock manifold and that in turn bolts onto a 'vishnu spec' turbo (3071 in this case). it has nothing to do with atp's turbo whatsoever.

dave or shiv......wuts up with the lack of torque? is it the cams or the turbo?
