I have seen Al do it to, I posted a link to a old thread from Al's case study series,
but the major point here is that if you want to know that your getting your $$$ worth you need to get a dyno tune not a road tune, I've seen very few unhappy customers from either side, where as you have chances of getting not so good when getting a road tune or just standard mail-in flash. That is why the thread is important.

some are more childish than others. some vendors resort to name calling and personal attacks. some dont. i dont see how these types should get mod abilities as they are no better than the most VILE evo m newbs.

By this post your no better.

I look at your screen name, then the "vile" reference....... um c'mon man pot calling the kettle black.

Like it was mentioned earlier the D!ck riding groupies are just as bad if not worse then the vendors themselves.

No reason to call anyone "vile". Or toxic, wretched, petty, evil, etc, for that matter.

I see you're not biased

Getting back OT, When a vendor has mod status in thier particular forum, I think it is important for users to understand that forum basically becomes a marketing tool for that paticular vendor. I don't care who the vendor is, AMS, Shiv, Al, ... anyone. I know Shiv has good intentions on only allowing productive and informative posts on here, but I also know he is a businessman first. It is in his or any other business owner's best interest to show thier product in the best possible light while not minding if the competetion is shown to be inferior.

Going back to my politics analogy, Think about if one political party owned a newspaper. The paper would most likely run stories that were beneficial to their canidate while portraying the opposition in not such a positive light.

I am? What are you talking about? There should be no reason to insult anyone.... ever. I think I made that clear. And that applies to everyone. Regardless of which "camp" you are in. If you are reading more into it than that, I don't know what to say.

If you, or anyone else, have nothing constructive to say or just want to start another debate, please don't. I'm tired of this and so are a lot of other people. We all have better things to do with our lives than to get wrapped up into this nonsense. Some people just look for drama. I think that is what the "off topic" forum is for. 9 unnecessary posts in a row (including this one) and still counting....

so you guys dont like it when people use words like VILE. doesnt it sound unprofessional, rude and childish?

Guess what, Al himself personally attacked shiv and called him, vile, horrible and several other things including shivladen on that post. I suppose its ok for him as he is a tuner? the owner of a company? The double standards on this site are simply astounding and im glad that i have pointed this out.

Wow sensetive. Ease back turbo I was just pointing out that those were the EXACT same words AL used in a thread in describing you in the deleted thread.

I'm not in any camp man, I have no issues either way. I could care less.

You have better things to do .... like go back and count meaningless posts ???

Lighten up man, its the internet. Dont get so defensive when someone doesnt agree with you.

Some road tunes are decent. Over on SoCalEvo.net there is a comparison of a Scott Gray road tune (a pretty good tuner of the S-AFC here in SoCal) vs. Alfred's from Tuning Technologies tune on the same car with a dyno tune. While there more power extracted with the dyno tune, the road tune is still pretty good.

I have a feeling (with no evidence to back it up) that since the IX ECU is more advanced than the 8, the learning curve is steeper. And hence, some people are still on this learning curve.
