-2/-2 are for the 264 int/272 exh setup. Probably fine for 264/264 or 272/272 as well for initial settings. Adjustments can be done during the AA tuning day as required.

I sent out the 91 Octane Stage 1+ map to the group email list this morning.

I spoke with Shiv today and he confirmed the use of this map after cam installation until he gets here to do the 93/94 maps. The timing profile in our current 93 octane Stage 1 (+cam gears) map is too aggressive above 5500 RPMS for the increased VE provided by the new cam profiles.

With the stage 1+... Is it a good idea to get an open air element or K&N panel filter for dyno tune? Any gains? Or is the intake not required for stock turbos?

Keep the stock filter and box and you'll be set. Don't bother with open element or K&N panel filters. Just keep your stock on reasonably clean.

Figured out the answer to my own question, and it's obvious now that I've thought about it...

The piston motion is synchronized with the cams. And neither piston motion nor cam motion can be controlled by the XEDE, so we need a mechanical means to adjust cam phasing relative to piston motion.

Bingo. The XEDE controls ignition timing, not cam timing. Two different things. Need adj. cam gears to adjust cam timing

I guess i'll just put a brand new stock filter. Anyways, another stupid question. The restrictor pill stays out for stage 1+ correct?

I would like to bring my 2002 Vishnu Stage 0 WRX for an East Coast dyno tune by Shiv in January 2004.

Is that possible? Willing and ready to sign on the dotted line immediately.

Henry Hirschel and Boost-up!,

meanmud and KK are the POCs for coordinating the January East coast tuning event. I believe that we are currently fully with 10 people for the 31st.

You can PM either of them and ask to be put on a stand-by list in case anyone on the primary list bails between now and 31 Jan.

OK

Henry & Boost-up,

you are on a waiting list - about #'s 13 & 14, respectively.

Sorry for the late response.

Hi guys,

I'm going to try to get a hold of the guys at AA again tomorrow. I'm going to try to see if the dyno can be rented for two days instead of one. I'll let ya know...

Shiv:

That, sir, is an excellent idea. I'm sure my fellow members at Club WRX would be very interested as well.

I wont post anything till you folks clear things with AA.

So, do EVO and Rex geeks get along or what?
