XFlash Update
As of 3 hours ago, our shop car (full exhaust, 264/272cams,big ic, big injectors, big fuel pump, GT3037 turbo, etc,. ) is now running successfully on an XFlash. Idle is close to perfect and drivability is as good as it gets.
Through the XFlash relashing system, we now have control over injector scaling, high octane fuel map, low octane fuel map, high octane ignition map, low octane ignition map, boost limits, rev limits, speed limits, temp compensations and gobs more. Tomorrow, we have two less modifed EVOs coming in for dyno testing which will give us a chance to test our SubZero and Stage Zero baseline XFlash maps. But so far, everything looks good.
Next week, we'll also start offering our XFlash add-on upgrade for XEDE users. This will improve idle quality with the HKS cams), raise the boost limit, bump up the rev limit slightly and a few other tricks. We're also playing around with the ignition mapping to smoothen out a few rough spots that have been historically tricky to tune around with the XEDE.
More later...
Cheers,

smog- well doesn't the Xflash add more tuning abilities, as with the ability to change rev limit and other things? I thought I read that in the other thread. Therefore I would LOVE to have that.
That way if I let anyone borrow my car I can load a low power map with a lower rev limit so that I know no one can beat on my car.

The XEDEFlash (XFlash for XEDE users) will do a few things. First, it will raise boost limit, raise speed limit and raise rev limit. It can also help compensate for idle issues with big cams since it allows me to do a few closed loop fuel tweaks that is not possible with the XEDE. We're going to release "tuner specific" maps as well as time goes by which have smoothened timing and fuel curves which will make XEDE dyno tuning even easier since you're not tuning on top of something nonlinear at certain points. Pretty neat. Lots of website info will go up this week on what maps are available for both XEDE users as well as those interested in the XFlash by itself. Price for XEDEFlash (raise boost, rev, speed limits) will be heavily discounted at just around $100. Price for XFlash (tuned maps to be used without XEDE) is yet to be determined but it will be well under $500.

That's exciting news Shiv, although I was not aware the evo had a speed limit....where is it? because I have not found it yet....when I was driving the other day on my closed road course....When will the XEDEflash be available or is it ready now?

There is a speed limit at 159mph. The XEDEFlash is indeed ready but i'd suggest waiting until the website info comes on line later this week as it will list the various options (rev limit, boost limit, idle adjustment, speed limit, etc,.) It will also have an neat little order form which you can print out and include with your ECU jus to make sure you get exactly what you want with the flash.

Judging from the site I gues it's a "no" for custom flashes. I am not planning to run the 3037 kit but since the injectors will be the same I guess i could just tune with the module you will be selling. Switching between octane maps will rquire the tuning module as well, correct?

I hate that pesky speed limiter, it's killing my commute time...
