This post previously said: "One note. The 246.3 Dynoflash car was 104 octane/93 octane map and 23psi. Thanks a million!"

Apparently there was some confusion by some members as to exactly what that means. Here's my clarification:
1. The 246.3 Dynoflash car had a map that was tuned for 93 octane.
2. The owner mixed in 104 octane fuel with his 93 octane gas.
3. The owner turned up the peak boost value to 23psi.
4. Again, the map itself is a 93 octane map and not modified for higher octane gas. It is NOT a custom tune for race gas.
5. As a result, the numbers increased over what the car would've put down on 93 octane and the default boost value recommended by the reflash vendor.

Thanks for your time, and if there truly was any confusion, I apologize. I did however, want it to be crystal clear that the car was not running on a race gas map, nor was it running 93 octane. Also, I wanted it to be clear that the car was at 23psi.

Seth

Dyno4mance, if you want, put "Stage 0+ next to my car.

Thanks!

Taylor,

I luckly took your picture. I have emailed the following pic to Andrew. Are you going to run at the track soon? I wan't to race you since It should be fun to compare how are cars perform on the track. It is a little blury but it is better than nothing

Peace,
Snoop

I may be way of base here but throwing dyno numbers out aimlessly is meaningless... I want to see A/F ratios ect... I also want to see the area under the curve bla bla bla... If one tuuner is tuning a 12.0 A/F ration and the other one is tuning to 11.1, thats not a fair comparison... I would love to see graphs with A/F ratios posted/areas under the curve ect.... Lets see it all!!!!!!

Well, if one tuner is tuning at 11:1 where it should be 12 or 13:1, and off the scale rich where it should be 11:1, he is not going to get very good numbers, nor he deserves to get good numbers. The Dyno charts show much of the info about the A/Fs as well as the shape of the power/torque curves. I think the reason the ppl throw hp numbers around is because it's aquick and easy way to keep score....

Andrew updated his site...didn't look at all the plots but most are hp/tq only. I'm sure the people whose cars were tuned can tell you their AFR's if you ask. Maybe Andrew could post them up there but Shiv tuned all the cars with a good buffer zone in mind. And since different widebands and different dyno's will give you different AFR's, that data in itself is pretty much worthless - not like you can use it to help you tune or anything.

Another baseline Dynoflash (with full exhaust) put down 225ish on 93. The other baseline Dynoflash (also with full exhaust and EBC) put down 240ish running a race gas mixture. We did not get to try an XEDE or XFlash on either of the cars.

More to come....

So, the $199 mail in Dynoflashes were making 20 less horsepower than the $995 Custom Tuned XEDE/XFlash combo??? Wow, I'm sold!!

Its not my driving I can gaurantee that my et is matching my mph I am a good driver and my 60 foot is a low 1.8 help???
i believe you told me a 1.9 with a 5.3 330', good driving ???. Non the less when you tracked the car it was 100% humidity and your only running 19psi of boost. I dont know what else i can tell you. I had you turn the boost down until you came back down and i'll fix the boost cut problem. Its prob a 5 min fix. You trapping 106mph is right for 312whp... Keep in mind this number was uncorrected. I'll find out your sae number and maybe you can compare this to someone else. With a 5.3 330' and a 1.9 60' .. Your car with a good 1-2 shift will go 12.6. Ron with the blue evo traps 118mph and runs 11.7 on pump he made 404 whp on the stock turbo. So in your theory does almost 90 more hp only make 8 mph.. Having your boost back up to 21psi , on a cooler day ..and then post back up what your car goes through the traps at ....

ok guys, due to popular request the mod staff have decided to open a new forum in which people can debate the dynoflash vs. shiv stuff. however, there are a few ground rules that people must follow:

1) there will be no name calling or personal threats.
2) any memeber that will post outside of that forum a Al vs. Shiv thread will be warned or even banned.

3) that forum will NOT be moderated except for name calling or personal threats. ANY member or vendor that will not follow these rules will be warned or even banned.

...You knew this was coming, didn't you?

An $899 XEDE car made more whp than an $1100 dynoflash car with exhaust and other bits.

A turbo-back + lower IC pipe + Dynoflash car with 23psi and 104 octane mix made 20whp less than my turbo back + XEDEflash + cam gears car with 20.8 and 93 octane. On the 105 octane map and still just under 21psi, my number jumped to 36whp more (and 2psi less!). Interesting, iddn't it?

Regardless of this, the dynoflashed guys that were there were COOL. They know the results, A:F, boost, and power as well as any of us, as they saw everything with their own eyes. My burden of proof isn't on them, it is on you as you requested it. Now turn that rolleyes emocon upside down into a big grin, Jordan Capri-avatar-guy.
