shiv,

NOT FLAMING YOU but im disappointed in you...you have a shot here to show the world the ultimate potential of these cars...There has been enough time for you to plan and learn the evos...so your last excuse cannot apply anymore...and youre bringing your "C" game...not that your car isnt awesome...but come on....this is C&D not some local showdown with a bunch of friends....why not bring the most radical version of this evo available? This is the second time u brought a dull knife to a gun fight...these cars have ALOT of potential...why not take a 10 second car that can carve corners....they are out there....seems for some odd reason you arent interested in showing the true potential...

lol Just kidding...I am an avid Dynoflash supporter but an EVO lover in general...so good luck
Im not gonna get into a whole al shiv thing...but i can guarantee you this....if al was gonna be in c&d he wouldnt sleep making sure the car was everything at the maximum of all its abilities...Im not an al fan those of you who know...know i sort of go head to head with him...but...he has more of the spirit for this type of competition... I can tell u this....Kudos to your PR firm Shiv...

What components make up Stage 2? (Edit - I just read that the Stage 2 includes a 2.3L stroker, but I still wonder which turbo, etc.)

Good luck - I know I'll be rooting for your Evo to win.

Can a mod please step in and delete these BS Dynoflash nutswinger posts from this thread? I thought we were told to keep this crap out of the vendor forums?

News flash, this a lot more than just a quarter mile run event. What other Evo VIII in the US would be better suited than the One Lap Evo that did extremely well?

First of all I am not a Dynoflash anything. If you want to call me anything call me an RMR nutswinger... Second, the Sparco Evo presented in SCC (and the build of which I've followed carefully) is a very balanced car. Third, you should chill out a little. I just came back to this post to note that I read in another thread that Shiv's Stage 2 includes a 2.3L stroker kit. I was about to rescind my previous comment. Finally, if you read carefully, I noted that Shiv (and anyone else) should disregard my comment about running a hotter Evo if the Stage 2 proved to be potent. You cause more problems than you solve with this stuff. I pulled out of the Shiv/Al issue a while ago... I just want to see an Evo smoke some big dollar cars.

Good luck with your issues,

Chris

Dynoflash nutswingers? I was simply commenting on the spirit of his sense of competition...and I think if anything...and probably that will be the ONLY thing shiv could learn from him....what youre missing while making all this Noize, is that I am an avid evo fan....Im cheering for shiv here....its just disapointing when youre home team isnt doing all it can ..Lets see a serious contender...not just a glass joe...Im sure when ligenfelter was stepping up to the plate..or renntech...they werent satisfied...and probably never will be...I actually have a high regard for shive regardless of how you interpret this...thats why i said...NOT FLAMING and ...said I was disapointed in him....if i had a low opinion of him...It would have been what I expected...I just expect more for a guy who has great potential and an even better PR firm

I agree with you. Noize, you seriously need to chill out. Stop trying to make something out of nothing. There is no disrespect in any of the previous posts, mine included. All I see is some constructive criticism.

This is a thread about Vishnu being in a highly popular magazines shootout...not a Shiv vs Al debate. If Presto would have said he thinks Shiv should treat this shootout like David Buschur would....would you have gotten all offended?

As I don't think you are Shiv's official spokesperson, please let him respond and we can go from there...

A highly modded Evo has more of a chance of breaking down. A highly modded Evo still wont run with a 700hp Ligenfelter. A highly modded Evo cant be a civil daily driver. Just some ideas.

Aren't the other cars in the competition highly modified versions of the originals?

Just to clarify and make it clear my opnion of shiv...I actually was going to send my car to cali to have him do it...but I called and their answering machine said they would call me back within 48 hours...well...at that time i wanted someone more accessible...so i decided against it and went with someone local to me...BUT...everything Ive seen, read and heard from people who have dealt directly with shiv have been nothing but spectacular..he is an asset to this message board as well....I would just like to see shiv give this his all....this is the superbowl

Shiv's car is pushing over 500 whp at 25 to 30psi boost. What else would you recommend? Something like Turbo Trix's drag car?

Speedlimit...

wow....I didnt know that....MY TOTAL APOLOGIES SHIV...Im glad to see you step up to the plate....I searched the threads for stage 2 info on shivs car prior to my initial post and I didnt see anything...as a matter of fact i saw some ramblings of stage 1 which made stage 2 not seem like it would be as radical...so he may just sweep this ....to say a 600hp evo wont dominate isnt accurate...Ill bet of all cars this one gets the best write up

What makes you think we are not giving our all for this competition? We just finsihed 5th overall and won our class in One Lap of America where we were the fastest 1/4 mile car with an easy launch. We were also consistently in the top 3-5 places at every road course as well. What better car to compete in this gruelling Car and Driver event. The event is a complete circuit at Michigan Speedway beginning with a 0-60mph ,0-100mph, 1/4 mile run, then straight into an infield road course of around 1 minute, then back out onto the banking where the car must accelerate up to 150mph before slamming on the brakes back to 0. The total elapsed time is recorded and the best overall time is used for scoring as well as your printed 0-60,0-100 and 1/4 mile times. Your driver must have his A game on as a good 1/4 mile run with a poor infield road course won't get it done.

What I think Shiv was saying was that the run from 100-150mph is a hard event to win when you are up against an Enzo or a twin turbo Viper. That is being realistic, not defeatist. I think we have a great shot at winning our sedan class and placing in the top 4 overall if the car does as well as we hope. Unfortunately aerodynamics, gearing and horsepower will thwart our top speed run where the 800 horsepower cars with low c.d and better gearing will pass us.

Shiv has invested a lot of his time, energy and money in making our car competitive for this event and it would be nice if the whole Al vs Shiv crap can stay out of this thread for once. We are competing in Car and Driver and we hope to do the Evo community proud next month. I can't wait to see the fantastic cars from the other tuners at this event. Hopefully, like at One Lap, we will surprise some of the big dogs with our 4 banger.
