Vishu kits as options on Evo's
Vishu kits as options on Evo's
If Mitsubishi made a contract with Vishnu (not saying it will ever happen) for using their stage kits as options on the Evo how many people would jump on the chance to get a "stock" evo equiped with a Vishnu kit?

If vishnu parts could be installed by the dealer, that would be unreal... It would give shiv alot more data for his parts and would give him a better chance to release more parts quicker. I think...

IMO this would be totally worth it. Build quality and fitment of the Vishnu stuff is top notch, and assembly is pretty easy (read: your dealer won't muck it up). All you need now is a little Vishnu decal to replace the cheesy US "Lancer Evolution" decal on the back.
Personally I'd also like to see the Gruppe-S center panel with 3 Omori gauges as an option. I've shown my setup to my dealer, and they were like: "man that looks like a factory install and way better than stock"

Unfortunatly the only side effect of dealer installed aftermarket is inflated pricing. Vishnu makes their cut then the dealership makes theirs then they charge for labor. When I bought my si, they offered a jrsc upgrade. It was like 5 grand... plus install...
Yea, my dealership offered some nismo upgrades with my car too. But they wanted like a grand more than the actual cost of the item (If I remember right, they quoted something like 2 grand for the nismo catback..)

How that would interface with existing emission control legislation is an interesting question ...
