Safe place to mount HSV?
Richard,
I have a concern. You are warning of excessive heat causing damage to the parts, but no solution has been given. (Unless I have missed something.) It seems a good portion of the installs are putting the HSV on the top of the engine firewall and that may cause damage. Is there a solution to this or is this just a warning that if an HSV goes bad due to heat then warranty may not be an option?

I am working on it, hence all the discussions.
I don't have a EVO so I have to rely on so of the users. The whole point of raising this is to avoid the user to have to make warranrt claims because of lack of warning on our side.
Does your alky kit vendor spend their time on this forum to learn the pitfall of a new installation?

Richard, you are correct the vendor of my kit is not on this forum, hence why I bought an aquamist kit, just waiting to install. I appreciate your efforts and do not mean for my above post to be an attack. Just trying to clarify the risk.
It would be possible to warn user ahead of any pitfall if we can work on a EVO specific kit.
Between duduical and KevinD, it seemd the HFS-5-EVO is on the card. We do have one problem. The pump is put in the kit in the USA along side the kit of parts from UK by our non-technical importer. This is to avoid extra cost by double shipping the shurflo pump to UK and back to USA.

Richard - speaking of an Evo kit, did you ever make any progress on that bracket you were working on that would secure both the pump and tank in the trunk on the left hand side?
Between that and an HSV & flow sensor mount that would pretty much complete an Evo Kit.

I have problem trying to relocated the AYC refiller tank. I am still working on it. I know the US model does have one but I need to design for the European EVO as well.
Kevin D's bracket is great, hinged tank, so clever.

Just checking on the progress of these installs. dudical, your pictures do not seem to work and I'm wondering where the far side of the tubing/wiring comes out of the wiper cowel--the driver's side. Anyone see any signs of corrosion? I *really* like this area for mounting these components, it would make the install super stealthy, and super clean.
hey sorry for the delay in response, I am out of the country and have some what limited internet access.
It appears the pictures were taking down by mistake. I will see what I can do to fix the broken link.
