I could only do one run 12.806@106 with a 1.8 60' on the Evo 9

A friend of mine took his 05 and ran a 13.4@101 with:

Upgraded Intercooler
Hallman MBC
HKS RS inatke
Ebay header
Full TB
Intercooler pipes

Not much to say, just a bad day at the track.

Sorry to hear that Carlos.

This insn't the first time that it happens to you while racing at SIR. You shouldn't race anymore over there. SIR sucks and when a single car breaks that's it...go home. You should always plan ahead and make it to PHX.

No problem Sergio, I was going to keep you posted live over the phone but you already know SIR is in my opinion not only extremely badly managed but also is already a pathetic track to run times.

I probably spent a good 30 min on the Tec line just to get it inspected, another hour just to run once, next time I will go to firebird (90 miles away).

I wasn't happy because I wasn't able to adjust my boost to make improvements but on the other hand I am very happy to see my times compare to everyone else at the track.

There was a black Toyota MR2 that everyone keep saying: Don't miss this one, it has 800WHP. The car look really mean, everyone swear the car was a 10 sec car and it had a full cage and all that but only ran a 11.2@110.

I saw the run , it wasn't bad but people can't never put their actions were their mouths are..

Carlos

Holly molly, that is a record breaker dude!! is he still stock? If he is stock he is perhaps one of the quickest drivers in the country. I have a lot of respect for guys like Karma and Cloudy that not necessarily have much of track experience but are proving themselves to be indeed fast and consistent drivers. for them

Thanks for the update. Oh yeah, I forgot, there is a guy here from Tucson(Mr vanderpool or something like that that is going to NOPI next week and he is putting a Aexi RX6 turbo on his Evo, just like yours, he also has all the good stuff like Alcohol kit, bigger intercooler etc, etc. The car is slilver with ENKEI NT03rims, it sounds promising.

By the way, I am never taking a picture with you standing by me, you are a tall ****, in the picture I look tiny compare to you specially when you freaking raised your long A S S arms, you also have some long A S S skiny legs.. I am average guy 5 10" 190lbs but you look like a freaking amateur basketball player ****. (You know I am kidding with you, don't be offended)

How tall are you bro?

Sorry to hear bro. Same thing happened to me, new parts in(intercooler, headers) and bad clutch. The 108 trap sounds very promising, it looks to me like the 110mph plus are just a joke for you, I mean I am sure you will trap very high.

What type of clutch are you putting?

By the way and changing the subject, you neeed to take care of things like 4 bald tires. Honestly, I don't think 4 bald tires are going to help you to achieve the 11.49 project that you have. Also double and triple check your intercooler hoses and set your boost to the correct setting before you go to the track. If will be a pity is you go to the track fully armoured and something of small nature holds you down.

just hit 14k miles so the clutch was on it's way out. the tires were to be ordered last week but uncle Sam took his time sending the refund which didn't come until yesterday. tires, new rotors, stainless lines, motor/tranny mounts, engine damper, & twin plate carbon clutch are all scheduled immediately.

i am looking at the ATS twin disk carbon clutch. my other options would be: ORC & OS Giken. Tiltons work well also. but i like the consistency of ATS which is the exclusive clutch used in Formula Nippon.

all my I/C & boost connections are locked down. i picked up some constant torque clamps from Napa ($5/each) which have 5 washers on them that self-tighten if they detect loosening. My Hallman MBC has been set to spike to 27PSI & taper down to 23-24psi. i have ran that setting since my dynoflash in Feb '05 with no issues. when the clutch & tires go on we'll see what the new time will be. i believe i will be able to trap at least 110-112. i may look into an ignition amp so i can spike the turbo higher & not have misfiring issues...

Well like housedj my clutch is pertty much gone, I got a lot of runs in and I had alot of fun. I fell between what I thought I would run with my mods on a stock clutch (12.2 - 12.5) I ran a 12.4 @ 110mph with a 1.7 60' and a slipping clutch the whole nite..... so for the next months will be building my masterpeice . . . Two words . . . Garage Trial

Hell yeah!! Great job Maxx.

Carlos,

Karma has just an hks rs intake. He was having boost problems and he was on pump gas so that makes his time even more impressive. He ran the 12.84 twice so it wasn't a fluke. I think he will post his slips on here when he wakes up (probably soon -- lazy a$$).
