It would appear the other post has now been locked and I am forbidden from creating a new post within this forum. I want to update those who have been following my problems associated with a car sold to my by South Coast Mitsubishi. For those not familiar, South Coast Mitsubishi knowingly shipped me a car that have many surface scratches on the hood and I have been trying to get this issue resolved since early last week. Please refer to the post that gives detail to my situations.
July Evo Pricing
I was told by the sales manager, MAC, on Friday that I would be given a call mid week, Wednesday, to have this issue resolved. I was specifically told the issue was being resolved with the owner and Mitsubishi USA because this damage was noticed on several vehicles. As of today I was not contacted, so I contacted the sales manager, Mac, and was told he was busy with another customer, but would return my call. This was ~8pm EST, which is ~5pm CA time. I know this is hard to believe, but my call was not returned. I will contact Mitsubishi USA tomorrow to better understand how they are working with South Coast Mitsubishi to resolve this issue. I will also download the necessary forms from the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint if I get no response by tomorrow.
I am very unhappy with South Coast Mitsubishi, Mark, and all the other folks who have NOT provided the necessary level of service that I am entitled to.
Mark, I am not interested in your lip service if your dealership is unwillling to resolve this matter in a timely matter. Your dealership knowingly shipped me the damaged car as verified by the bill of lading and confirmed by the sales manager. You need to make this right ASAP and quit stalling me. If you need to deal with Mitsubishi USA, then do so on your own time and not mine. I am unhappy and your dealerships continuous trend of not responding when promised is getting old. I spent $29K of my hard earned money for this car and expect better.
I will post a copy of the bill of lading tomorrow that clearly shows the damage to the car prior to shipping and was signed off by the South Coast Mitsubishi salesman who sold me the car.

Maybe like a tie-down strap or something?
UPDATE
I received a call from the GM, Mac, regarding my vehicle. I was assured the issue would be resolved, but they were still dealing with Mitsubishi as several cars have similar damage. I conveyed to Mac that, although I am symathetic, it is not my problem. The fact that South Coast Mitsubishi received several cars in similar damaged condition is between South Coast Mitsubishi and Mitsubishi. The fact that South Coast Mitsubishi knowingly sent me a damaged car is what concerns me. As a personal observation, I am hard pressed to understand how they could have been unaware of this issue prior to me pointing it out. Speaking with friends who have worked at dealerships I have been told that this type of damage would have been noticed upon delivery from Mitsubishi, especially since it affected multiple vehicles.
I conveyed to Mac that I will not accept my hood being painted and that a new hood is a must on my new car. I also conveyed to him that I expect to be compensated for my troubles because of what has happened. He agreed, but wanted to speak with the owner as to what could be done. I was told I will receive a call this evening so that SCM can present an offer of resolution. I will keep everyone informed and I am optimistic that SCM will stay true to their word.
As promised, bill of lading with damage circled and the signature of the salesman also circled.
