ACT 6-Puck Sprung Disc

Anyone in Vegas running the 6-puck sprung disc?

I have the performance street disc (w/ HD pressure plate) and wondered how much harsher the 6-puck sprung disc is in the engagement.

Also interested in comparing the life of the discs, given that the 6-puck is like 25% *cheaper* than the street disc.

I drove one, the driveability is completely different, more on/off and chatters more. I didn't like how it drove, but shifted nice. The street disc/hd pressure plate is plenty for a stock turbo and would be my choice for a daily driver.

that's right gonzo you old man

do not get that 6 puck. any 6 puck clutch is horrible for a dd and if you plan on drag racing that clutch is definitely a big no no. your original choice is perfect and has been proven. that act street disc is the best clutch hands down for the money.

Do you guys know how the vegas dealerships are as far as doing warranty work on a modded car? I have the dreaded 5th gear notch (the rest of the gears feel perfect). Just wondering how much of a fight I am going to have here in Vegas. Thanks!

to be honest, i wouldnt goto any vegas dealships. Youmight have some luck at the mitsu dealship in Glendale Az. I know its a 5 hour drive, but the last time I was down there I spoke to the service manager personally. He told me at his dealership they expect evos to have a certain amount of mods. As long as the warranty work is "common" and the mods clearly couldn't have caused the problem, they do the work no questions. if it wasn't 5 hours away, this would be the only dealership i would get my car worked on.

They reflashed my X w/o blinking an eye. Told me the day they get an update for the X, they reflash every X on the lot. Which is hands and feet above the service i have recieved in vegas.

I'm talking about Mark Mitsubishi in glendale Az. lol its conviently located two blocks from my mothers house...

p.s. My X is stock, I've taken it to People's, Courtesy, and United (Where i purchased) and all three dealships give me nothign but attitude and grief w/e i bring the car in for any work. Car has a horrible tick and i actually expect the engine to fail within the next 2k miles. They won't fix it b/c the car is still drivable. This tick wasn't there when i bought it and it gets worse every week. I know what valve tick is, this is 10x louder than valve tick now.

Not sure if you have an aftermarket clutch or not, if you do, I don't think any of them will warranty it

Sorry to hear about your experience w/ Vegas area Mitsu dealers; I got mine from Courtesy and they've always been great about things for me.

I have an aftermarket clutch too.

Who did you speak to over there? Both Bryce & Todd are good guys who "get it."

Audrey was my favorite (mostly because she was really hot but she actually was a good service advisor, too) but she's not there anymore.
