Ive known Bryce for a LONG time. I used to work with him when he was a service writer at Henderson Chevy, and took my car to him all the time when he worked at the mitsu on west sahara that closed down.
I took my car into them for an abs problem. ABS light was coming on, but only above 70mph on the freeway. They had me bring the car in 4 different times for the whole day, said they plugged all kind of stuff in, couldnt figure it out. Had me change out my brake rotors because they thought it was "excessive rotor runout" so I put on two piecers, new pads, new lines the whole shebang. Didnt fix it. Changed out sensors, didnt fix it. Finally when they couldnt figure it out, he told me my warranty was suddenly voided because the aftermarket electronic ecu management on my car was messing with my computer. He was talking about my zeitronix wideband display on my dash. I was like dude its a wideband, and its not even connected to my ecu at all. He didnt know what a wideband was, and told me again my entire warranty was void.
I took it to Adam at United becuase I had good luck with them before, and Joe the tech there had it diagnosed and fixed in 3 days. He had to wait for parts, they replaced my rear halfshaft because there was a nick in the abs teeth and it was only tripping at high speeds. I asked courtesy to check that (since I read about it on evoM) and they said they did. BS. If they did, I wouldnt have took my car there 4 times only for them to tell me in the end they were voiding my warranty. Funny, because after I said that I went and talked to Adam and he said that was BS, theres no warranty void on my car in the system, and they took care of it for free.
The moral of the story, you just cant trust any of the dealers at all.

adam at united is the one i've had the biggest problem with.
When i first bought my X the cable from the solenoid to the trunk release was never attached. When i brought the car in to get it fixed the first thing he did was pop my hood. I asked him why he need to look under my hood to fix my trunk and he told me he was looking for Illegal mods. I said WTF man, the car only has 17 miles on it. Everytime i've taen it in since then, whether it was for a reflash or oil change, he goes over the car front to back. I know he is doing a visual for nicks and dings so i dont claim they did it. but it still pisses me off he looks for mods to void my car when im in there for regular service.
sorry for the paragraph, i get pissed everytime i think about it

If I were you, and you need it to throw a code, I would just unplug one of the o2 sensors or something let it pop a code then take it in hehe.
i got them to reflash the car... i had to fight and fight with them.... then come back because they hadn't updated the flash computer for SIX ****ING MONTHS. I'm going to phoenix tomorrow after work, sofriday i'll get my car flashed down there. I would consider moving back to phoenix just for the service at the dealship down there... no not really...
I just went to united to get the factory reflash. I told him about it, and I read that there is a TSB for it. Well long story, short, I didn't get the reflash. They will only reflash it if it throws a code is was Joe told me.

Yeah, I talked to Joe also. Was a nice guy and like you said, knows his ****. In fact the only reason I went to united was because of the recomendations on this forum.
But I've also read the 2nd reflash can give some decent performace gains to a stock car?
Who knows... But I think I'm getting a Cobb AP with my christmas $ anyway, so that should be a lot better.

I will keep everyone posted if I come out and I will keep an eye on this thread from here on out.
Merry x-mas guys!
Looks like the pump gas sucks out there, and I will be forced to run 100 octane for pump gas. VP 100 and I found a place in Vegas that carries it
Its still pump gas right... I mean it is "street legal".
