I understand it would make more power, but 30psi on good old 93 is a handful and plenty fast enough for me and street driving. If I want fast mode, then in goes the Import

E85 changes to much, and I dont wanna deal with misfires ect... thaxs Hop

This is why I just want something reliable if you will call it that in terms of fuel. 30psi and 100 cant be any worse than 93/94 pump

I was only running 28lbs the nut was all loose on the intake side and shaft play up and down as well as in and out. the blades look like they've nicked the walls and that's probably what the whine sound was that I heard. I just limped it home the other night staying low rpms no boost. I'll probably take the turbo off tomorrow or sometime this weekend.

**** it'd be nice if someone wanted to sponsor me a turbo ....damn wesside needs a sponsor haha

yeah thats where I filled up too, it only does it when I'm on 100% throttle and higher loads in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th gear.

I turned my boost as low as it will go and still misfire, so my only option is to gap down the plugs see if that will fix it.

are you runing meth on top of it? I considered doing that

go back a few hundred pages and see what I posted about e-85 with cold weather haha Your not going to have any problems running it with the warmer temps and Dan if you wanna meth kit lets get the aquamist installed on the ix with ecu boost control and the tephra alt-map switching patch to use as your failsafe and be able to swap tunes & boost levels on the fly

I hear ya, at the power level you are at, I would run a fuel that is more consistent, 100 octane here has always been good and they carry it at a lot of gas stations here.

I bought the denso ikh24's which are iridium and I left the gap what it came as, I believe the are .028 and from what I have been seeing e85 tunes people gap at .020 I would rather not mess with an iridium plug but I have nothing to loose at this point, so I will try gapping them down see if that will help

my guess is the colder weather will require a little more timing to cure the misfires. But I don't like the fact I have to have a retune everytime the weather changes. I pulled out my Aquamist system, just missing small line and the jets, maybe I will order what I need left and put it together. I do have a GM solenoid I'm going to give a try... also I like the idea of the tephra map switching. So looks like I have a lot of homework to do

Having the colder weather isn't the problem. During the majority of the year from I think it is March-October, the pumps will be dispensing e85 and you won't have any issues. It is the crap winter blends that we all seem to be having trouble with.

On another note, I did a little experiment tonight. Gassed up a quarter tank at Huey's on Vegas Drive and Decatur. Drove the car on the 95 in a very spirited fashion. No issues with misfire. Gassed up not 2 hours later after running around for 10+ miles with the low fuel light on at Vegas Valley and Nellis. Did a 2nd/3rd pull and the car was misfiring and knocking like a ****. I think Rebel is filling the pumps with e70.
