Las Vegas Evo's
There are two reasons you will have misfires, one is you could have picked up a bad batch of E85. Its happen to alot of my customers and I chased issues all over the car and couldnt figure out and the next time they filled up it was fine. The E85 attracts moister and I think sometimes there are just watery batches. This is even on some N/A Honda customer of mine too and not just boost. Second is the ignition system, it takes alot of spark to burn all that fuel. Stock even ignition systems are hit or miss, some are great and some are not. Marc, James and Archie are all running MSD-DIS2s and they work awsome with either Stock DSM coils or the Chrystler coils.
Anyone can help me out im in vegas just drove here from florida and im in desperate need of an oil change any places here that i can go to that wont rip me off?? i usually do it my self but i dont think this hotel will like it if im doin that in the parking lot
Lot of EVO's start slow on 91. Take the same car on E85 with 1000's and it could start the same or worse. Not necesarrily the fuels fault or the injectors. PTE1000's seem to work the best and in most cases start as fast as stock does on 91, on E85. Cars are getting older. Original O2 sensors, old plugs, wires, shakey coils on 03-04's. Can compound the problems.
If the car is running fine on E85 and you went to Uncle Bob's Slick Stop for E85. And a block down the street its missing and cutting out. Then you burned it down to a half tank or less and went to say a Rebel, still doing he same thing. Probably should just drain the tank. Start out with fresh fuel. Get that problem out of the tank period. There are drains on both sides of the tank making it easy.

I know people here have had bad experiences with their warranty service but I still go there for oil changes. It's cheaper than Jiffy Lube (assuming you buy the oil outside of them) and you know they have something to lose if they mess something up.

Thus the reason they switch to e70-e78 during the winter months. e85 is a hard starting fuel during winter months. There is a thread on the reasons why in the alternative fuels forum. There are tables you can adjust in ecuflash to bring down the low temperature IPW's to compensate without having to fiddle with your map settings.

Hey Trevor, I remember in one of your older posts you mentioned having to run an evo 5 radiator since the water neck was on the drivers side with one of your big turbo cars......how is the fitment of it into an 8?
Do you have the scalings set for 91 on your alternate map? Also, you have to remember, your 8 ECU doesn't reset the trims on a flash like a 9 ECU does, so you have to wait for them to settle as well.
If you buy the oil @ Walmart and take it to Courtesy Mitsu they'll do the change for $20 incl. tax.

geez, I would have let you change it at my place... and I have some Amsoil with filters here. Sorry didn't see your post earlier
evo 5 radiator fits right in, and the neck is towards the thermostat housing
