Who owns a black evo with purple or blue wheels?
Last evening I separated a tire on southbound I-15, while I was sitting there this guy saw me from the northbound side & flipped around to see if I needed help. I just wanted to say thanks for going out of your way to see if another evo needed help.
With that said, it looks like I need tires, anybody got a hookup with discount tire?

Don't waste turning your rotors, rotors are far more expensive to replace than pads and every time you turn them it takes a good chunk off of their life. I never ever turned my rotors on the Evo and never had a single problem in the 3 years I tracked it, changed pads from street to track and back, never a single problem, no cracking, no chipping, no warping, nothing.

Like I said, I had mine for 3 years and kicked the **** out of it, including using track-only pads which got the rotors over 750* (using a pyrometer). And by the time they needed replacing (when I sold the car) they still had a fairly good bit of life on them, but they were pretty blue... So we replaced them to sell the car easier. Never warped, never turned, never had a crack or anything. The Evo/STi rotors are pretty godly for regular applications, matter of fact, some of the guys I talked to back in the day that had race built Evos for the track said it was nearly impossible to warp the rotors and most of the time people think they are warped it is really just pad transfer.
